I think it is true that Schumacher became a little slower

It’s a shame that the Ferrari bosses do not notice the same phenomenon with Hamilton

I think he will have a difficult year next to Charles Leclerc

That’s why I’m hoping that Sainz, can upset Ferrari when he starts his stint at Williams.

that would be nice, but the chances of that happening will not be very big

I could imagine that the new season will at least be more exciting. Because I don’t see an overpowering team at the top at the moment. RedBull had already lost their dominance by the end of last season. So I can see four teams fighting for race wins. Let’s see if McLaren can improve a bit and become more stable. Then it could also be about the title. I see Ferrari and Mercedes on an equal footing. But I don’t think one team will dominate the whole season. But that speaks for excitement!

I’m just curious to see how the tiresome topic of track limits and rule interpretation will continue in the near future. Or whether we will continue to see new design variants at almost every race. Or whether there will finally be uniform standards for the stewards.

2025 will be the last year of the engine reglement and the cars how we know them. So it will be only natural that the gaps will become smaller and teams will be very close regarding performance. This way the driver is more important than ever. So it will be a hard year for Stroll ahahaa :rofl:

2026 I expect the gaps between the teams will be bigger again

Then the Hamilton deal could have been a good deal for Ferrari. Because Hamilton is certainly not a bad driver. I’m not saying that Sainz is a bad driver. But I don’t think Leclerc is always consistent enough as a driver either.

Of course not. But is he better than Sainz was last season? I have my doubts…

That is Leclercs main problem. As driver. He is really quick. Probably quick enough to become champion. But his problem is the consistency. That aspect has to improve for him. Or he will not become a champion. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Leclerc is probably the fastest when it is about one or two laps. But in long runs he lacks a bit of speed and also makes too many mistakes.

And he is hot headed. Even when nobody is close to him and even when he is alone with nobody close to him. Even when a situation is like that he ends up with unprovokingly making a mistake. Overall that happens too often for him. I am sad for him because of that. I feel sorry for him because of that. Actually. :hugs: :slightly_smiling_face:

I didn’t say that Sainz is a bad driver. And Sainz will certainly be able to help his new team forwards. But, like Leclerc, he is not a driver who I believe can win the world title for the whole season. I don’t know why, but if Ferrari want to win the title, I think Hamilton is more likely to do it. But that’s just my feeling.
And Lewis is still missing one thing to really be on a par with Michael. That’s the drivers’ title with Ferrari

The problem with McLaren is, even though it’s closed season, the infighting between Norris & Piastri, has already started.
So if that spills over onto the track, we’ll have a repeat of the battle between Prost & Senna in the 1980’s and with the same team.

You think there should be a clear number 1 at McLaren? Only I wouldn’t know who the number 1 is at McLaren at the moment. Because both drivers have a lot of potential. So I think it’s full throttle for both of them. Nevertheless, the team will then have to decide in favour of one of the two, who will then have to move far forward in the championship. That’s right!

I think McLaren should just let them race for the first time.
If a situation arises where positions need to be exchanged or a different tactic needs to be applied for the championship, then that is early enough

the drivers championship is never a team’s priority, it is always the constructors title, because that is where the money comes from

The same exciting topic will be the distribution at Ferrari. Lewis is not going to Ferrari to keep a car seat warm. He wants to win something with Ferrari at the end of his career.
What will Leclerc do with that? Exciting!

True, but with Hamilton coming to the end of his career, and heading slightly backwards in terms of speed. I think Leclerc won’t have too many problems.

I know Alonso is older than Hamilton, but he did leave the sport for a while before returning.

Let’s agree that it won’t be an easy season for Leclerc. Because even Leclerc has to deliver at some point for a traditional team, in my opinion. Hamilton will also need to familiarise himself with Ferrari, no question.
And Alonso? A phenomenon! Give him the best car and he’ll be great.
Alonso will still be driving when the children of Cola enter Formula 1!

There are many great drivers, a sad fact by the way, who has literally cracked down by the following pressure that leads on with driving for an iconic team like Ferrari in the first place. There is a certain myth leading on with driving for a team like Ferrari. Not everyone handles that pressure in the same way. Sadly it is the truth.
