Let’s hope so.
I’m surprised it got there at all, because someone once told me DHL, stood for Drop it, Hide it & Lose it ![]()

A quick recap of everyone who’s been on track so far today:
Cadillac: Perez
Ferrari: Hamilton
McLaren: Piastri
Mercedes: Antonelli
Racing Bulls: Lawson
Aston Martin is expected to join the fray later.
Alpine, Audi, Haas and Red Bull should be back tomorrow.
Lewis started the day with a 360
Three days and a half into this pre-season test, here’s unofficial mileage data per engine manufacturer.
In italics, the teams which are yet to run this week
I’m beginning to wonder if Aston Martin will go on track today, because so far all I’ve read is that the Racing Bulls, seem happy with the Ford engine.
And all the other teams also showing promise apart from Williams, even though Vowles was disappointed at not in Spain for the 1st shakedown
I think they are preparing everything for tomorrow, maybe a short run at the end of today, but no real test
yes, that is what they say, it seems reliable and that what is all about over here
they (Williams) are testing the car back home in the factory, just not on track, but what James Vowles told is that they are ready for Bahrein testing
Looks like Cadillac are having a hard time, as Perez says it’s surprising but problems will come to light.
And tbh, I can’t see the point of Bottas even trying to qualify come Australia. Because he’s still got that old grid penalty to serve.
I didn’t know that rule even existed that any penalties not served, could be carry forward until such a time it could be.

Lance Stroll leaves the pits in the new Adrian Newey-designed Aston Martin

The first Aston Martin to be designed under the leadership of eminent designer Adrian Newey has appeared in pre-season testing.
The car’s debut had been delayed - although the team have not explained why - but Aston Martin managed to get the AMR26 out for the final hour of running at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Thursday.
Lance Stroll managed only four slow laps before stopping on track, with Aston Martin saying the move was “precautionary”.
However, the car’s design has already caught attention.
Running in an all-black camouflage livery, its nose, side pods and engine cover were clearly different from those that had appeared on most cars so far.
The test is being held in private and no independent media are permitted.
But from the few photographs Aston Martin have published, the nose appears wider than the norm on cars designed to the new 2026 rules - with a shape perhaps reminiscent of a duck’s bill.
The side pods are very thin and heavily undercut, the front suspension mounting points are very high on the chassis and the engine cover is heavily cut away.
The car only arrived in Spain on Wednesday and the team spent most of the day preparing it.
Stroll said: "It was a long day for all the mechanics and everyone in the team pushing flat out to get the car ready.
“We got a few laps in at the end of the day and it was feeling good. We have to learn the car and understand its strengths and weaknesses.”
Lead driver Fernando Alonso is due in the car on Friday - the fifth and final day of this week’s testing.
Newey’s cars have won 14 drivers’ championships and 12 constructors’ titles since 1991 across the Williams, McLaren and Red Bull teams.
He joined Aston Martin in March last year and has been working on the new 2026 car ever since.
F1 has changed its regulations this year and the chassis, engines, tyres and fuels are all new. Aston Martin have become the factory team of Honda, who have spent the past six years with Newey’s former team Red Bull.
So they did get a run in today.
yes they did..
video with sound, but i don’t know if it is the Honda engine we hear, because there might be other cars on track, i hope we will find out tomorrow
I agree, seems to be a combination of the Honda Engine, and other cars that could still be on track.
found it!
Nice sound
Looks like we will have to wait for social media today, as no real upates coming from the spotters whom might have been spotted ![]()
“Security around the circuit has been heightened for the final day, according to those in the vicinity. Some suspect this is because Alonso’s on the scene today.”
Looks like McLaren are having teething problems.
McLaren have some reliability trouble
For Oscar Piastri and McLaren, the only running they could do took place in the morning session, as an issue derailed their afternoon testing session.
A fuel system problem was the culprit for the British team, meaning their day was done and saw them miss out on valuable miles and data collection.
“We discovered a fuel system problem, and the car’s very complex, so we’ve decided to bring it back into the garage, strip it down fully and understand where the problem is coming from,” explained Mark Temple, McLaren’s Technical Director, Performance
That’s from yesterday.
Verstappen returns after parts delay for P3
Max Verstappen returned to action for Red Bull after a two-day absence caused by Isack Hadjar’s crash and a wait for spare parts from Milton Keynes. The Dutchman completed a full morning in the RB22 and posted the third-fastest time, 1:18.285. His return allowed Red Bull to gather valuable data before the next phase of pre-season testing.
Just hope at Bahrain all 22 cars are put through their paces. Then we’ll get a better idea as well, as it won’t be behind closed doors.
