Not at the moment, but by looking at those test times. Red Bull achieved the quickest lap time in fewer laps than some of it rivals like Mercedes for one.

Well it looks like Mercedes is ‘as fast’ as Red Bull at the moment

Ocon made the most laps
Russel/Antonelli dis well also
Hadjar his first day at the new offiice was also good

so much for day 1

No idea who will be on track tomorrow as each team has 3 testing days during the 5 day shakedown

Certainly looks the afternoon run was a lot better for Mercedes.

Be nice to see what happens tomorrow, especially if Max decides to give the RB22 a shake down.

I know it’s only testing, but I see Perez is still in the same hole, when Red Bull sacked him. And that’s the slowest driver on track.

The Alpine sounded more like an normal road car with a sports exhaust attached.

looks like it will rain in Barcelona this afternoon. therefor there are only two cars on track, Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc, the others might not join today because of the regulation that they can only drive three of the five shakedown days

update.. raining

F1 | Teams have underestimated the media reach of the Barcelona test:

— The decision to hold the Barcelona test behind closed doors was flawed, given the proximity to a major city and the ease with which photographers could capture images of the cars. The rapid spread of these images on social media was inevitable.

— Unlike the FIA or Liberty Media-organized events, the Barcelona tests were independently arranged by the teams. Despite the predictable curiosity surrounding the debut of new teams like Cadillac and Audi, media access was restricted.

— The lack of foresight led to a comical situation where photographers and journalists gathered around the track, capturing and sharing real-time updates online. Efforts to control the situation included interrupting unauthorized signals and asking people to leave.

— The media blackout disappointed many fans who relied on these channels for updates. The decision was partly due to the absence of a media management structure and concerns about the teams’ debut performances.

— The fear of negative exposure overshadowed the fact that early technical issues are common in new cycles. The test was meant to be a low-pressure environment, yet the media restrictions turned it into a spectacle.

Anything was worth a try, to keep the new cars hidden. but it seems to have backfired big time.

Even that clip that got uploaded, as well as the photo I posted of the New Mercedes, meant the event wasn’t all that private.

that clip was from the FIA (FOM)

and your photo..

well this is the shakedown, the new cars that you see here will definitly not be the cars that wil show up in Australia

the crashtest was the problem with the WIlliams as it seems

Williams’ 2026 car has successfully passed crash tests.

To meet the necessary criteria, the team strengthened the chassis, which resulted in an increase in the car’s weight.

Not a bad sounding engine either, compared to the Alpine one.

Alpine has the Mercedes engine
Ferrari has the same as Caddilac and Haas who drove yesterday

But the Mercedes Engine sounds a bit strange compared to all the others.
