You can’t beat the sound of the V12’s & V10’s
looks like Red Bull is ready to go for fast laps in Barcelona according to the tiresheet from Pirelli
Noticed that only 4 teams including Red Bull. Won’t be testing the hard tyres and it looks like Williams are running the next heaviest amount of softs.
Just read on the BBC F1 page. Christian Horner and a few others want to buy a stake in Alpine.
I had a feeling he wouldn’t stay away from F1 for long. But I didn’t expect his attempting return to F1 in time for this season, considering Red Bull only sacked him halfway through last season.
first pictures of the 2026 cars in Barcelona
this is also a usefull link to see the new cars as they are now

Ferrari, McLaren and Williams are not there yet
They look visibly smaller. I didn’t expect the difference to be so obvious
So not counting Audi, Red Bull or the Racing Bulls. It’s going to be a 2 horse race where Engines are concerned with the rest of the grid.
So it’ll come down to reliability, as to who gets where with the Ferrari or Mercedes powered teams.
could be better in Monaco, maybe it will finally be a race
that could be the reason that Williams will not be there this week, they will have plenty of data about the Mercedes engine without spending any money.
Because this test is pure about reliability, Ocon made the most laps in the morning session Hadjar was fastest, but times are irrelevant , because of the weather and track conditions
Some other news..
Nürburgring has changed its 2026 calender to make it possible that Max Verstappen can participate in the 24 hours race
I reckon Monaco will be different this year, as the cars are smaller compared to last years.
untill now:
Ferrari enigines : 100 laps
RB: 86
Merc: 84
Audi: 27
So no reliability probs it seems…
3 red flaggs so far, Colapinto,Bortoletto and Lawson all had issues and stopped on track, the reasons are not shared yet
Seems that Ferrari & Ford seems to be the most reliable, when looking at the amount of laps completed.
At this moment in time.
Barcelona testing Day 1: full morning results
Driver Team Time Gap Laps
Isack Hadjar Red Bull 1:18.835 — 44
Kimi Antonelli Mercedes 1:20.700 +1.865 55
Franco Colapinto Alpine 1:21.348 +2.513 26
Liam Lawson Racing Bulls 1:21.864 +3.029 41
Esteban Ocon Haas 1:24.520 +5.685 66
Valtteri Bottas Cadillac 1:24.651 +5.816 33
Gabriel Bortoleto Audi 1:25.296 +6.461 27
Not a bad start for the Red Bulls, and Mercedes look quite strong. Even though they did do more laps than the RB’s.
so by these times you (think) you can see who is strong and who is not?
untill now there is not one car who did a lap at the limit.. they are more than 7 seconds away from pole time last year
it is only to test reliability
by the way
FOM seems to have found the same source as me and blocked it ![]()
so no more lapcounts and times this afternoon i guess
