we need a safety car

Norris is third per now if I am not wrong and that will be enough for him.

Probably need a Nicholas Latifi.

Yes, you’re right. 3rd or better and Norris becomes champion, 4th or lower, Max’s gets his 5th straight crown

Norris will keep a cool head if nothing goes wrong. So I hope for him.

What we need now, is a Nigel Mansell moment, last lap and the tyre suddenly gives way and just leaves the wheel rim on the car.

Or a Mika Hakkinen moment at Catalonia in 2001. He was leading. I think the clutch wire broke, and that again was leading to a more spectacular gearbox failure. And there was smoke from the back. Everything over.

Norris is under no pressure as such, because the only person who could ruin it is LeClerc. But he’s slipping away from Norris.

So as I said at the start, Max needs a mega miracle like the one in 2021, but that was the stupid race director not understanding the rules about SC.

Norris it is!
well deserved World Champion!!

Max gave it his all. But the last victory isn’t enough for him.

But the attention is on Lando.
Congratulations to Lando Norris on his first world championship title.
I think that’s very, very special for Lando.
He did his job and deserved to win the title!
And thanks also to McLaren. Because the now famous “papaya rules” made it exciting again at the end.

Lucky lucky Lando, Well deserved over the course of the season but thought he got lucky today

Congrats to Lando. Well deserved champion. But once again I did not understand the strategy of McLaren today. They got lucky that Leclerc was struggling with his tires after some very fast laps

He was extremely lucky, because the nearest he came to giving the title to Max, was when Charles started to make him sweat a bit. But then the car as usual, started to drift backwards.

Leaving Norris in clear air.

he could have (should have) had a penalty for overtaking Yuki.. would not have mattered in the end, but he was clearly overtaking outside the track

Strategy was strange, also think he was lucky not to get a penalty when passing Yuki, Yuki definitely deserved his penalty but overtaking off track should still not be allowed

If you see at as a whole through the season, Lando is without doubt a well deserved champion. :fire:

There’s still a bit of time, as they’ve still got to scrutinize the legality of the car, like they did in LA.

Well debatable. Yuki was very near the edge of the track already. But Lando was already next to him. So hard to say.

I think the way it went was okay.
