Hamilton, was complaining about the car before the mid season break. So if anything the car has been going backwards.

I’m not saying Lewis is a bad driver. Just that he’s probably not a good developer.
And it’s obvious that the car has deteriorated over the course of the season. The car hasn’t developed for him.
However, neither has it for Leclerc. But he at least makes it into Q3 with this car.

It is a miracle that Charles did not crash, he was over the limit the entire lap
I’m not either, but the car hasn’t been up to speed since that DQ in China for the same reason the McLarens got in LA, for the skid block.
Yes, that’s what I mean. The car at this level, seemingly undriveable. To achieve good lap times.
And yet Charles is in P5 and Lewis in P16.
But no matter what the drivers’ positions are.
They can’t be any better when the car is so bad.
The team, or the planners at Ferrari, have fallen far short of their goals this season. They wanted to at least catch up with the top three teams (Red Bull, McLaren, Mercedes) again.
And all the innovations during the season seem to have been fruitless.

I have to agree with Lukas former statement on the Hamilton subject. I think it is mainly down to the drivers current abilities.

Likely tactics for the race, Max keeps P1 from the start and then has to do an Alonso Masterclass of backing the grid up, Yuki will 100% start on Hards, Max will try keeping Yuki in the McLaren pit stop window (unless McLarens have a bad start then he couid disappear out front as fast as he can & try taking George with him via DRS)
McLaren have a few options, mainly for Oscar’s side of the garage as Lando obviously only needs 3rd
(1) Start on a softer tyre then Max & try to be aggressive to get past him either at the start or shortly after
(2) Start on the same tyre and hope and pray to get pass him
(3) Start on a harder compound if possible and try to outlast Max before the pit stop
Also an issue for mclaren/Oscar is that if it is an incident free race there is likely only going to be one pit stop
So as Max has said let the Fun begin

I don’t know if that rule has been changed, but they must start on the tyre that they qualified with.
They can use new or a scrubbed set of tyres if they want to save the new set for later on in the race.
It got changed in 2022, they can start on whatever Tyre they want too

Well Yuki, just got a 5 sec penalty for weaving in front of Norris.
How big of a chance is it that the current order will change?
Looking at the current positions. Max will need a mega miracle now. Norris doesn’t need to do much in the last 10 laps to take Max’s crown and become champion.
