Why is that a scandal? The ref of the Argentina game yesterday was French…
…because the winner of France vs. Morocco could face Argentina in the final.
There are only eight teams left in the tournament. Surely it should be easy to find referees from countries that are no longer in the competition—not because I suspect foul play, but simply to avoid any impression that a decision regarding a goal or a sending-off might influence a future match.
