If you love soccer, you have to love Messi. He surpassed what the gods of soccer envisioned for him; today, he is a god of soccer himself. If you love the sport, there is simply no way not to like him. It’s a good thing the penalty didn’t go in; otherwise, people would have said they won because of the penalty.

Nobody gets the same level of hate that Argentina does. Yes, they played poorly in the first half, but they turned it around and played much better afterward. What’s the problem with that?
