Thank you very much for the standings. I’m surprised that I’ve made it to fourth place so far.
But I think the first matchday has a lot to do with luck. After all, you don’t really know how strong the teams are.
The second match of the group stage will be interesting now. And yet, in the end, the established teams will probably come out on top again. They’ll advance to the round of 32, the knockout stage, with 32 teams. Since many third-place finishers also move on, it will be difficult for the established teams not to advance.
I’m surprised again by how strong Morocco and Egypt are.
But I’m curious to see how Brazil does, and whether Neymar will remain just a figurehead.
And whether “Grandpa” Ronaldo can help his team one more time. To me, though, he comes across more as a hindrance. Because no one dares to tell him that they might be able to build a better team without him.

Technically, you’re actually in second place, tied with Lazurus and Penta. So you’re definitely a strong contender for the title. (In case of a tie, the ranking is ideally done alphabetically.)
