I had brief contact to her this morning:
She didn’t write anything about Ukraine, but someone convinced her that she was a bad person because she lived the way she did… as if outsiders had any idea how and why things turned out this way. And I know that she is prone to depression, especially since Sebastian, who was the most important support in her life for a long time, left.
and there is no long-term ‘replacement’ in sight… most of her acquaintances are just very… one-sidedly interested in her (e.g. the last overnight guest who didn’t get what he wanted and was angry because of it)

They also have the presumption of getting angry if they don’t get what they want. This is absurd and in any case it is the result of a life set up this way on his part. Maybe if he has reached this state he should think about it seriously. anyway it’s his life and he does as he wants. I have always said that she is looking for a balance that she is not finding and what you say confirms my thoughts.

That may be true, but it doesn’t give anyone the RIGHT to get angry. sometimes you get what you hoped for, sometimes you don’t. And if someone gets angry today, he lose any chance of having more fun next time… or of having a new chance at all. Own goal, I would say

Here we lose sight of the main point and that is that Ariela is a person and not an object and unfortunately the way she handles what she does fuels the thought in these people that they can get what they want. She should have more respect for herself and demand more distance and less confidence from those who approach her and this would help her understand the difference between a true feeling and a superficial dimension of limitless affection which in the long run will lead her, as now, to relationships occasional and finally to have no stability with anyone.

Yp, Sebastian’s departure will leave a huge hole in her heart. For a very long time.
But as we say here, it’s too late to alarm after the hail. And I believe she is very sorry. I’m sorry for both of them.

It is indeed probable that the physical proximity displayed with almost all the men who pass through this apartment can cause confusion for certain weak minds and the anger of the last reveals clearly the rather macho side of many of them who believe themselves to be irresistible.
Perhaps she should distance herself a little more from her relationships or better yet select them more.

Normally I would agree with you. But Ariela is a special case. Being alone wears her down. this is e.g. also the reason why she generally leaves some lights on when she leaves: when she comes home and sees her windows, she needs the feeling that at least from the outside it looks like someone is in the apartment. a dark apartment would deter her even more from going home… 
All we can do is hope that she always makes a good choice…

JonR, with all the respect again, i read over and over the same line of “excuses” like: special case, there is one Ariela on cams and another one outside, etc.
There isn’t such thing, if she doesn’t want to be alone, she can easily bring someone to live with her, i am sure that she has friends or she can find someone willing to do so even with the cams being present. But she doesn’t. Also, she can easily bring a girl as a company from time to time, but she doesn’t.
All we see/seen is different men over and over again. This is a choice and is not happening by chance.

Como dije en otra oportunidad, creo que la soledad es un fantasma con el que le está costando lidiar a ella. Desconozco cómo era la Ariela pre-Sebastian, pero sí puedo asegurar que era una chiquilla que apenas superaba los 20 (cuentas fáciles, de hecho).
Hoy, veo a una mujer que busca afecto y que por su propia forma de ser (o lo que vemos ante las cámaras) proyecta una imagen que puede generar confusión. Esto no quita que haya hombres con una sola idea en la cabeza o que busquen una sola cosa y que no respeten los deseos de Ariela.
Es adulta y toma sus propias decisiones. A veces también es cuestión de responsabilizarse de esas elecciones, estén equivocadas o no, hacer introspección, hacer un parate y reevaluar las cosas.
Evidentemente quién le haya dicho lo que le dijo, tocó una fibra sensible en ella como para romper en llanto y estar tan afectada.

Ce que j’ai du mal à comprendre c’est que, lorsqu’elle amène quelqu’un chez elle je suppose qu’il est au courant des caméras et qu’il ne pourra que la toucher, caresser sans relation effective du moins dans l’appartement, ils savaient aussi que son ex dormait dans la chambre à coté (ça ne dérange pas forcément). Alors pourquoi ces hommes se fâcheraient ? J’ai toujours été surpris, lorsqu’ils partaient et qu’elle se pendait à leur cou, combien elle était crédible (alors que, dans les rares films que j’ai vu d’elle, elle ne l’était que peu). Il faut dire aussi que je n’ai qu’une vague idée de la culture russe actuelle et aucune idée des us et coutumes du milieu dans lequel elle vit (c’est d’ailleurs un des points qui m’intéresse de voir ou d’imaginer ce qu’est la vie dans d’autres cultures et d’autres milieux). Quant à dire qu’elle peut facilement trouver quelqu’un ce n’est pas si sur (physiquement sans aucun doute, psychologiquement ça me parait plus compliqué et dans d’autres milieux cela ne me parait pas aussi simple que ça). Ensuite je ne veux pas faire d’étude psychologique débile d’une personne dont je ne connais rien réellement.
J’espère que le traducteur ne traduiras pas n’importe quoi (comme ça lui arrive parfois.
