Ariela (Part 2)

I didnā€™t defend her, Iā€™m just extremely annoyed by these stupid suspicions, conspiracy theories, and unfounded and unfoundable statements, insinuations and poorly hidden accusations, which are subsequently presented as ā€˜sarcasmā€™ in order to have an excuse.
my sarcasm is at least immediately recognizable as such when reading

I just found out the reason for the outage. There is a technical rule: if 3 cameras fail in an apartment, the apartment is taken offline until the problems are resolvedā€¦ in order to ā€œmotivateā€ those responsible to finally solve the problems. And that point was apparently reached this morning, we all noticed that some cameras at Arielaā€™s kept failing.
the failure was therefore caused administratively

Conspiracy theories aside, this only happens because they are not penalized. But we are, because we pay for a part-time service that when it is ON is to watch people eating and sleeping. The number of times the cameras are turned towards the wall and ceiling, the constant power outages (They must be in a third world country)ā€¦ etc. Most houses are worthless.

Being offline is a penalty itself

Yes, for us.

I would like to know what the SLA is (service level agreement). For all intents and purposes, they are providing a service for which they are paid and we are the customers.

The only service weā€™re paying for, is the access to the paid cams and the archive. Nothing else. So, as long as you get that access, you donā€™t have any real reason of complaining. Does this makes it clearer for you ?

And that means they have no obligations. The cameras can point to the wall, the ceilingā€¦ the house can be empty for days on end because they have no obligations. Ok, thanks for the clarification!

Well, not really. If the cameras are pointing to the walls/ceiling, itā€™s not right, so we can contact support and report it. Usually, those issues are dealt with very fast. What we canā€™t complain about, is what is happening or not inside de apartments, that has nothing to do with us, weā€™re not paying the participants nor have any contracts with them. We can watch certain apartments or not, everyone as it sees fit

Your not missing anything the place has been dead for the best part of a year now quite frankly i donā€™t know itā€™s still online at all

So we have access to cameras 24 hours a day to ensure nothing is stolen. I thought I was the customer and it turns out Iā€™m the night guard! They are paid and have no obligations. Well, if it worked until today and no one complained, maybe Iā€™m being too demanding! Thanks for the help.

The apartment is offline due to the equipment that makes the cameras work if that equipment is not working then the apartment canā€™t be online itā€™s quite simple. Until they fix what is make that equipment not work then it has to stay offline. The router could have malfunctioned as the cameras work on that and until they get a new one then it has to stay offline. There is no need for all this nonsense drama.

You certainly are, especially that youā€™re not paying a single cent to the participants.

Youā€™re very welcome
