What's the best song you have heard today?

Time to celebrate one of the greats. It’s Paul McCartney’s birthday. He is turning 80 today. Here’a live version from 2008 of one of his best known song. Luckily he decided to change the working title of the song, and had scramb__d eggs for breakfst instead :joy:

Time for a tribute to Manny Charlton, who passed away Tuesday this week at the age of 80. He played guitar in the Scottish band Nazareth. Good hard rockin’ memories from my teen days in the 1970’s. Thank you for the music, Manny. May you be remembered.

1 of the best rock bands of all time and still going strong :clap::clap::pray::england:

@Amelie_Lucas I was in Kyiv two weeks ago and I heard a beautiful song called Один в каное - У мене немає дому (One in a canoe - I have no home) and I am sure you have heard it before, but it blew me away.

They are on a world tour at the moment trying to raise $1 million to aid Ukraine and I saw they were in concert here in Warsaw on the 3rd of July and I missed them. :frowning:

The lead singer Iryna Shvaidak never sings the full song in the concert and says that she will never complete the song until her country is at peace and she has a home. :hugs:  :ukraine:

A German song today. Love it.

Nice song! And I’m surprised my school German from a long time ago actually makes me understand the lyrics to some extent

I’d like to pay tribute to Van Christian, singer and guitarist in the American band Naked Prey. I just found out he passed away on the 5th of July, the day after turning 62. Although Naked Prey sometimes was a mixed bag, they are well worth checking out if you like some of your rock as a blend of Detroit garage rock, punk, psychedelia and country. Saw them live two times in the late 80s. Thank you for the music Van, may you be remembered.
