Happy Birthday to Justin Hayward, who is turning 80 today! He played guitar and was one of the singers and songwriters in The Moody Blues, a band who had huge success in the UK, the US and several other countries. It is estimated they sold around 70 million albums worldwide.

What may be The Moody Blues’ signature song was written and sung by Justin Hayward, and released as a single in November 1967. I tried to search, but if the song has already been posted, it was before we got the habit of naming what we post. Just to make sure, here it is. And here’s to a happy birthday for Justin Hayward :beer_mug:

The Moody Blues - Nights In White Satin (from a German TV show 1968)

I just can’t end this post without my favourite song by the band, also written and sung by today’s birthday boy.
