The Iron Maiden - Ned Kelly (1970)
The original Iron Maiden. This band released one 7" single.
Not exactly a classic, the song is at best a decent timepiece from a transition period in British rock. None of the musicians in the band made any further noteable appearances on the rock scene, with one exception.
Drummer Steve Chapman went on the be the drummer in Leo Sayer’s and Al Stewart’s touring bands. In 1977 he moved to the US and joined Poco, by some considered to be the first country rock band. He drummed for them unil 1984, then returned to Al Stewart. In 1989 he retired from performing, and took of management, for among others Al Stewart.
Here’s an old favourite from the only Poco album I’ve ever owned, with Steve Chapman from Iron Maiden on drums.

It looks like Björk, although I doubt the pic is from 2025. After all, she turned 60 last year.
