Maybe one should remember Rick Parfitt who died on December 24th, 2016 with this band. A great band.

But it certainly didn’t hurt to mention it again.
Since @Mohrchi and @Lukas156546 brought up Status Quo here, let’s also remeber original bass player Alan Lancaster, who passed away in 2021 at the age of 72. Here he is on the original Status Quo’s reunion tour in 2013, singing the song Is There a Better Way.
By the way, Status Quo goes way back for me. I did some legendary air guitar solos along to Piledriver and Hello almost half a century ago. Too bad no one got to hear them. Come to think of it, I didn’t even hear them myself

i think all of the fans (including me) were having big fun playing all the solo’s on the airguitar
Status Quo were also one of those bands where you could tell which band was playing within the first 10 seconds of a song. A lot of people also said that the songs all sounded the same, which is partly true, but I still love that music to this day and Status Quo is one of my favorite bands.

Happy Birthday to Canadian folk singer Buffy Sainte-Marie who is turning 82 today. She is of course best known for the song The Universal Soldier, a classic from the 1960’s folk scene. But she has got a lot of good song. Here’s a newer song called Starwalker.
