You are right,
in a silly tv-show, where they do tests with all silly kind of nonsense,
they tried out, what would heaten a room better in case of a heater failure,
the four cooking flames or the oven.
The flames barely had an effect, but after 15 minutes, the oven had raised the room-temperature for around 5° C
But why would one leave the four flames on if not cooking?
To show of to the western Europeans how much gas Russia has?
here in italy usually towards the end of october at the latest early novemberâŚbut this year the government delays the ignition for heating and above all you can not exceed a certain number of degrees also because putin completely closed the gas supply to italyâŚ
in some European countries, when there was a surplus of energy, you received money for consumption, due to balancing the network,maybe they have same problem with gas and have ordered mandatory consumption

Well you donât live in Russia now do you? In Russia hot water and heating is often provided by the government.
Unless the gas utility is shutdown by government orders, It was the Soviet central not that long ago!

Yeah they turn their hot water off for a couple weeks in the summer too.

most buildings are centrally heated by hot water flowing through pipes and itâs controlled by a boiler station by the local authorities, it gets switched on in October and switched off in May
Wow really, all houses over here, like anybody else i would presume, have their own gas or electric boilers in our houses. We obviously use it as and when we want or need it.
Well you probably have a dishwasher too.
