Once again Alfie, because I messed it up again in my post above. The song by Robert Wyatt is called Alife. Damn, already a little too dwunk on Monday. Cilla Black will fix it for me 
Still, I’ll leave the Robert Wyatt’s song here. He is an artist I relly like to plug. The song title Alife may well be a word play on “a life”, since this song is taken from the first album he made after he broke his back in 1973, and was put in a wheel chair for the rest of his life.

Eventually after searching quite hard I found out the original song text of the Hellbillies song Ho eg vilde ha. It is of course Beyond The Reach Of Love. Not very easy to find that. Harder than you might imagine. 
That aspect with the norwegian text versus the original english text is not even properly mentioned in the original Hellbillies CD Cover and the officially printed Hellbillies text description. Not even mentioned there. Imagine that. 
Seems you’ve done quite a bit of research here, but are you sure about this? On Hellbillies’ Urban Twang album from 2001 Ho eg vilde ha is credited to Arne Moslåtten and Aslag Haugen.
Besides, the only song called Beyond the Reach of Love I can find, and that I would imagine Hellbillies covering, is a song from four years afrer Urban Twang, on the Irish singer/songriter Paul Brady’s 2005 album Say What You Feel.
I just might be missing something here.

What matters is that Hellbillies is one damn fine band, who probably could have had a career internationally too, if they were singing in English
They have actually gone against their own principal as band and given out an album only fully in english. That is an album called Seven Bridges Crossed.
