Fader Jakob. Fader Jakob. Sover du? Sover du? Hører du ei klokken? Hører du ei klokken? Ding Dang Dong. Ding Dang Dong.

If you are talking about TinyClaws toys, it’s rather “Hells Bells” :joy:

At first I didn’t quite get what you were on about here. Then I listened to the song again. And the theme melody is actually a little reminiscent of “Fader Jakob”.

First I didn’t quite get what Tyrese meant either. His mind sometimes moves in mysterious ways, bless him  But when I listened to song again, I got it. The melody can be a little reminiscent of the old French children song “Frere Jaques”.

What he wrote is the Norwegian version of the song. In German it is “Bruder (or Meister) Jakob” and in English it is “Brother John”.

And come on, Hells Bells

Det er litt ålreit å ta noe på norsk sånn innimellom i hvert fall da. Det er jaggu nok engelsk preik her i fra før av for å si det sånn. Syns jeg da.

I have never learnt Fader Jakob in German or english. So it had to be in norwegian. I know about nothing but the norwegian version. :hugs:

Ok, I am familiar with the English version too. It probably goes back to when I first started learning English around 197…eh back some time ago. I still remember it

Are you sleeping? Are you sleeping?
Brother John, Brother John,
Morning bells are ringing! Morning bells are ringing!
Ding, dang, dong. Ding, dang, dong.

I learnt english for the very first time in early spring time in 1997. That indicates that I am slightly younger than you.

OK, I know the french, the german and the english one.

But I assumed, (ass out of u and me ) Tyrese meant the “bells of Tiny Claws”.

Sorry that I am only “one-dimensional” if it comes to VHTV. :joy:

We use the term “bells” for both, boobs and scrotum.

I started learning english in 1970, and french 1972, and some serbo-croatian in 1997. :joy:

In my own head back at that time around 1997, I skipped a lot of classes even though I was present physically. But I did not skip the language learning.

Thank you for putting it in such a polite manner. :hugs:

Who am I kidding it was 1971 for me. Then German in 1974, which I haven’t kept in practice, although I still remember some. It even happens I don’t have to use the translator on German texts in the forum. But I’ll not try to write German

I learnt german originally around 1998 and 1999. Kept practicing slightly and a little bit after that it has slightly faded off and has been laid on ice. It is all my own fault. Can not blame anyone else.
