straight men/women are usually interested in lesbian sex, I don’t think that’s true about gay sex.
Interestingly, all studies shows that homosexuality is alot more common in females than males. I think it’s the same for other a____ls. Biologically that is also logical, as there is much higher competition to spread your genes as a male.
Regarding apartments on VHTV though, that explanation is mostly cultural, I believe. First, it’s alot less socially accepted for women to watch porn, so the majority of viewers will be men. Second, as @Bluewinner states, hetrosexual men are very often interested in watching lesbian sex, while it doesn’t seem like hetrosexual women are attracted to gay sex in the same degree.
BTW, I’m just defending the explanation of why it is like it is, I’m not defending that it should be like this. Personally I actually wish VHTV were alittle less competition driven. A couple of new gay apartments would be great.
I was also pretty intrigued by the trans apartment, but too bad it was only about camshows and teasing. I was really disappointed.
Gay apartments wouldn’t necessarily all have to be “gay”.
A lot of gay viewers would enjoy watching a house with a couple of straight guys who jerk off, being naked around the house, baths & showers etc. even if there was no sexual interaction between the two - as long as there weren’t girls over all the time for sex.
Absolutely 100% right!
I agree, I love to watch male masturbation too, and the lack of male masturbation on all of the voyeuer sites are frustrating, and kind puzzling too. It’s definitely not realistic. Meanwhile we’re flooded with female masturbation. Even though most of the female masturbation are clearly staged camshows though. It’s harder to catch the more genuine moments.
My point is pretty clear - @Bluewinner claimed that “Here in the UK, there is no problem with being gay or bisexual”, which is a pretty general assertion to make that certainly does not describe the experiences of a lot of gay and bisexual men. Here’s just one recent example: Further arrests after Birmingham Gay Village attack - BBC News
With regard to the accuracy of the census data, Stonewall UK also recently stated “We are conscious that there are challenges involved in ensuring that accurate data on sexual identity and gender identity can be collected through a census. The fact that census responses are often completed by one member of a household poses a real barrier to disclosure for those who are not out about their sexual orientation or gender identity to their families.” I’m in no way suggesting that LGBT+ people are not a minority in the general population (or the VHTV community), but that the actual percentages are in reality very difficult to quantify. As I pointed out in my earlier response to @Squish’s claim that “homosexuals represent 2% of the community” - where is the evidence to support that very specific percentage?
If it’s 1.5% or if it’s 3% doesn’t really matter, these numbers are estimates anyway, and the point in this specific debate would remain the same.
I agree exact numbers & percentages don’t really matter. Just because a particular interest group is in a minority doesn’t mean it should be unrepresented or ignored.
There is a lot of demand out there for gay content, just because the demand for straight content is a lot higher, doesn’t mean VHTV shouldn’t give it a go.
It’s not an ‘estimate’ if it’s based on nothing. There has been no VHTV survey of members about their sexuality - nor is there any requirement to disclose that information when joining the site. In fact this forum and thread has already revealed that there’s quite a significant (and vocal) section of this community that would probably identify as ‘non-straight’, so to make an assumption regarding the actual percentage of ‘homosexuals’ within the VHTV community is - as I originally stated - speculative.
I agree. And this goes for alot of things! I have expressed my concerns about VHTV being way too competition driven. It’s even taking its expences on the genuine and normal voyeur content. If this developement continues, everything will look like Maddy & Rocco in the end.
Based on nothing? Read the statistics.
Firstly, no one said anything about the VHTV audience specificly, these numbers are all for the general population. But if you have any large numbered group it can’t be unfair to assume that it to some degree will mirror the general population… Secondly, all statistics are generalisation, if you can’t lift your perspective to view it from above the individual level, then it will be very hard to make sense of the world.
As I’ve already stated, my original response was to @Squish’s claim that ‘homosexuals’ just make up to 2% of the VHTV community - so yes, an assumption was specifically made about the VHTV audience despite the fact that there is no data to support that very specific claim. I’ve also made it clear that I’m not disputing that the LGBTQ+ community represent a statistical minority, just that it’s very difficult to reach specific conclusions on what those actual percentages are because as you rightly point out “all statistics are generalisation”. I don’t really see therefore what your ongoing issue is?
R__e is not sex. R__e is r__e.
This isn’t gay or bisexual. This is heterosexual sex between a cis man and a trans woman.
It’s beautiful, and I’m SO glad it’s included on the site, but it is not Gay or Bisexual sex.
I wouldn’t class Charly as a cis man I would say he is omnisexual or polysexual, he has had sex with men, women & trans female that I can remember.
He’s just not fussy.
By “Cis” I just meant that he was born with a penis and feels like a penis-having-person
as opposed to being born with parts that he feels don’t match his sexual identity as male, female, or any of the numerous other ways of identifying.
He’s certainly a lover of all folks tho, and he’s dreamy. lol
I never said that gays represented 2% of the VHTV community. No need to reply as this subject bores me witless.
yes can talk about the manipulative poppy who makes his friend cry and cheat on the guy he is with and now
