Oh yes, I can understand that. I am from Norway too, and speak Norwegian in my daily life. However, when I’m on the forum I think, breathe and feel in English, within reasonable limits of course
Over half a century with English as a second language may do something like that to you, so I guess I’m blessed in that sense. I even get most of the jokes the English lads here are constantly making
like this one …An Irishman and a Norwegian apply for the same job.
The job they’re applying for is at an engineering firm in Dublin.
Both the Irishman and the Norwegian do so well in the interview the boss can’t decide who to hire, so he sets up a small aptitude test.
Both men again score the same. 19/20 correct.
After some waiting the boss comes through and says to the Irishman: “I’m sorry but on this occasion we’ve decided to hire the Norwegian”
The Irishman angered by this says “Surely, me being Irish would mean you would give the job to me instead of a foreigner”. He went on a rant about looking after the locals etc.
When he was done the boss replied. He said:
“Well it’s like this. We didnt make the decision based on how many answers you got right but more on the answers you got wrong”
So the Irishman still angry says, “but we both got one wrong answer”
Again the boss replies calmly saying, “it’s not how many wrong answers you got but the answer you gave. On question 7 the Norwegian wrote ‘I don’t know’ as his answer.
Your answer was ‘Neither do I’”.
or this one" Two guys meets in the middle of nowhere, trying to find their wives. They decide to help each other out, by describing their wives.
The first man goes on: “My wife is tall, well fit, blonde, got big firm breasts, tight bouncy ass, a massive lust for sex and a face of a model. How about yours”?
The second man replies: “She can go F**k herself, lets search for yours instead!”
No, I’m born, bred and still living in Norway. I’ve never even been to England. My English comes from being a hopless music and movie nerd from the first part of the 1970’s. So a fair bit of the English lingo has become embedded in my head since then. So when I enter the fantasy land that is VHTV, my brain automatically switch to English
Wow, that is more or less the exact same as me. Born, bred and still living in Norway. Always lived in Norway, never been to England. I have been learning english in different ways through the years, and I am also a nerd in different ways with english as a second language. That is the easy way of saying it.
Yeah, like me you mean right? I am a little bit more active than others probably? The main reason why I like this so much is that in here nobody is only against eachother in the end. Everybody has ultimately the same goal at the end of the day.
So finally found a positive reason for the leaderboard .due to some members competitive nature we get to see s__t loads of pointless pics and every so often some decent ones just fukin with ya dont go getting all defensive
