VHTV and the Chamber of Chatters

Nah you know me. I respect the young and the old. Just doing some jokes. :kissing_heart: :joy:

i was tempted to say what i really felt on the matter , but thought better not as it would of meant all out war on the powers that be , and doubt they would be equipped to deal with my rant in a gentlemanly way . pretty sure they would of just hit me with one of those 24 year bans lol

Stadig flere eldre forsvinner sporlĂžst pĂ„ internett. De har trykket pĂ„ “gammel” og “fjernet.” Det er en litt kjedelig mĂ„te Ă„ uttrykke det pĂ„ norsk. Siden du forklarte det pĂ„ engelsk, sĂ„ kan jeg forklare det pĂ„ norsk.

But you do not need to worry Jabbath, I will not bother you with so many norwegian translations again. In fact I very rarely express myself in norwegian in here. Luckily, most would probably say.

Perfect translation into English for me.

Wow, the translation is actually pretty good

Wow. Perfect translation to norwegian. I did not not use Google or any other translating aid. I took it all from my m____r tongue way of saying it. So no extra help or aid now.

De vertaling naar het ( Belgie ) Nederlands is ook prefect .

Very good. Very good. Perfect. The translation from dutch to norwegian was also perfect for me. No problem.

What translator does the globe use then please?

It seems “the globe” works pretty well. I only know Norwegian (Swedish and Danish) and English, and there were nuances in my Norwegian text that I would have said a little differently in English. But all in all, the translation from Norwegian to English in my text got the basic points of what I was trying to say. Glad to hear it works for other languages too,

What you are saying about expressing things a little bit differently in English. That is exactly the problem I am facing when I translate english expressions back to norwegian expressions again. Because there are differences from english to norwegian. So that is why I am saying to myself: What is that expression in norwegian again? Oh, yes, that is what it is. It is just the way it is sometimes.

Yes, excatly. And I think this is what starts some of the arguments here. Jokes are being made, most of the time with no ill intent at all. However, when the person on the other end speaks a different language, he may easily take it as being someone trying to make fun of him. So here we go again.

This is a problem here on the forum I think we all could be a little more concious of.

So that is oddly and strangely enough why I almost feel more comfortable saying things from norwegian to english rather than the other way around. At least from time to time.
