Over the past few days, I worked with the two of them to bring an idea—known as a “lithophane” —to life using a 3D printer.
These are images printed in white material that are illuminated from behind; the varying thickness of the relief filters the light differently, thereby creating a black-and-white image.
If they can find someone with a 3D printer in their area (or if they already know someone), this could potentially become part of their merchandise.
