True, but he was clearly uncomfortable with him hanging around, and so must have known his reputation. What’s worse is the fact that despite knowing what he later did (he could have k__led the guy that he c___ed and repeatedly kicked in the head on the floor if he wasn’t stopped) Artem still feels that it’s okay to sneak him into the apartment. The guy obviously still poses a risk - and I doubt has suffered any consequences for his homophobic attack the other night.

I agree with this. He won’t have been fined as he was a guest. The police won’t have been involved or it would have exposed the cameras to them, and the victims won’t have made a complaint because they would have had to tell the police exactly what they were doing.
Yes, I assumed that would be the case. I’m just really disappointed that Artem is still hanging around with him despite knowing what he did. Obviously, we don’t know what goes on in their lives outside the apartment - or what their real views are about situations like this.
Or indeed, his one off reason for allowing the person to be there today. I am not suggesting I know that reason either, which is why I am saying Artem can’t be fairly judged for allowing the meeting. We, none of us, know he will continue such meetings either, of course.
I don’t know any more that you do. But I think homophobia is a lot more common in Artem’s country and it may well be very difficult to hang out with a large group of friends where one or two aren’t homophobic to some degree. If Artem decided to have nothing more to do with him, then it may mean not hanging out with any of his friends when they meet up.
In an ideal world I think it would be better for Artem to cut all ties with him and end their friendship, but it may not be so easy to do in real life.
