So VHTV Project team decided to give me a warning for being rude and they will not tolerate this.
The background to this if I got riled by a viewer posting photos of the timeline, and I mean plenty of photos. I asked that member politely to please put them in a gallery format as having to scroll through so many photos when you log on is a real pain in the ass. He simply replied by spamming me more photos. I referred to him as a twat in somebody else comment reply. Note I at no time directed that comment directly at him. He reading a comment not directed at him but referring to him obviously got very offended and felt the need to report me or VHTV project team saw the comment and decided to warn me. Now look at the definition of the word Twat and the context it was used.
I have no problem with being warned as heaven forbid you should offend someone. What I do object is the wording of the warning. Firstly, I have had ONE previous post flagged and accepted it without any worries as it is VHTV site, and they make the rules.
There were multiple reports regarding your posts from different users on offensiveness of your content.
My question is if more posts have been reported why were they not flagged so I could know? I have no problem stopping using terms that might upset some although it does seem rather c___dish. Someone on VHTV decided to take it upon themselves to decide what is wrong or right for a particular post although the rules were not actually broken. If you going to have rules, then letâs be specific. Either I broke the rules, or I did not. Flag the offending posts but if you do not flag them then donât come up with them as evidence when you feel it is convenient for you.
The ignore function on this site is a joke. If I put someone on ignore, I want to not see anything that person posts and not have that I have unread posts and the reason is that person has commented it. Secondly why is that person reading my posts if I have them on ignore, surely like Facebook the ignore function should be both ways. Do not tell me the answer to my problem is to ignore someone when the function does not work.
Also do not tell me the way to make scrolling past those photos faster, I know how that works. What happens if by doing that I miss a post I might want to see?
They said that I was the only one that objected to the spamming of photos. A huge lie as you only have to read some topics to know that. Yes of course some have no objection to it. But please do not make a general statement that is simply a lie to make me look like I am wrong. Get the facts.
The topic continues and gets more interesting but somehow vague. Yes, I am in private message with VHTV project team as to what a bad boy I have been and trying to clarify some points. I have a clear day ahead of me with nothing to do so I am busy arguing my case. I have decided to open it up to the forum as I said I am bored. The bottom line is VHTV project team is simply like me an individual who has feelings. THEY decided that my post was offensive and warn me.
Quote from VHTV project team ââThe flags are cleared from the post when these are reviewed. They stay visible to moderators/admins after that, if Iâm not wrong.ââ OK so after reviewing it was decided I was not guilty, and the flags removed. Now this post and the word TWAT must have been reviewed and the post not flagged as others although I was never made aware of them.
Wow I can see I have bored off plenty who have much better things to do than read this gibberish. Bottom line is this is an adult forum and yes there are rules to abide to. The rules must be specific and not when and if someone is having a bad morning and feels offended. Do not tell me to put someone on ignore to solve the problem as I am fully capable of making that decision on my own. Maybe have the person who was offended have me put on ignore so that there is no need for them to be offended again.
This is still an ongoing issue as I have decided to carry on arguing my case to the VHTV project leader.
My rant on this beautiful Sunday. Folks have fun and see you on the forum
