Putting apartments offline when participants are away

Everything before 18:42 can not be accessed on the timeline. Why? Was it offline? I hate this policy of @VHTV_James. I understand that you would want to put apartments offline when they are going to be empty for more than 24 hours, but atleast put it back in good time the day that they arre expected to arrive. But that usually never happens. When it finally comes online, the tenants have already been home for hours. And the result is we miss nice real life moments.

Ah the place was empty… Candy was not there AFAIK

Yes, she was gone for about 48 hours. I’m not saying anything on that. But they are too slow to turn it back on again. When it came online, Candy was already in bed.

Well I guess manager was too slow telling VHTV. VHTV turns on when manager tells them.

They just did not want you to see her doing an exercise routine and then gangbang 5 guys, it would tarnish her image on VHTV. :upside_down_face: :yum:

It is this policy I don’t understand. It does seem like VHTV just waits until the manager tells them the tenant has returned, and now it can be turned on. This means we’re always going to miss a good portion of time every time someone have been away for a while. I think this is a very unfortunate way to do it. I rather think VHTV should ask the managers when the tenants are expected back, and then put the apartments online atleast a few hours prior.

Manager has just to inform VHTV earlier. Not the problem of VHTV.

Yes it is.
If VHTV have asked the managers to inform them when they are back, this is what they will do. They should atleast specify to the managers that it is preferable that they go online alittle before the tenants get back, not an hour later.

And if VHTV put the cams on a couple of hours before the participant is due to be home and yet the participant decides to stay out another day or two! this argument runs both ways.
But IMO in reality the participant should be in direct contact with VHTV telling that they will be home at a certain time and be there also in this case she should have told VHTV that she was going to be away for at least 48hrs.

Well, the thing is, I don’t even see the point of putting it offline for absences in the first place. There are other ways to deal with and tackle these issues. Ways wich are probably both better and simpler. One way is to simply subtract these hours from the paycheck afterwards. It would have the exact same effect. RLC has a significant fee for unreported absence of more than 24 hours. So there are other ways to solve the problems around empty apartments.

It is VHTV who swear to put apartents offline when they have been left empty for a whole day. It is not necessary, but that is how they have chosen to do it. I’m just saying that they should maybe take a look into this routine of theirs. Try to find a better way, and try to ensure that we don’t loose hours every time they have to go to this step. How exactly they want to do it, with quicker reporting or whatever, I don’t know. It’s their business! I’m just pointing out that this (atleast for me) is a cause for frustration.

I realise we’re far off-topic. Maybe @jabbath1987 can put this debate into a separate thread.

All I am saying that VHTV has this rule and it is easy for the participant to follow, if they are going to be away for a period of time then let VH know so that they can put an apartment offline and bring back online when the participant is ready rather than having to divert people away at last minute to switch off then on again.

Although if I were to guess I think they probably get tickets through support, so to reduce tickets that is why that rule was made.

I’m not going to debate whether it is right or wrong for an apartment to be put offline/online during absences, after all as I say VHTV have made that rule and I don’t think it is that difficult for participants to follow.

Possibly not. It should be pretty easy to follow. But it happens from time to time, or should I say again and again. And I think it is strange and unfair that VHTV punish us viewers for it.

Regarding the tickets issue. They could put up a note on the apartment list, like they do when there is an ISP-issue.

Again that only works if the participant lets them know they will be gone for a period of time.

No, not really. When VHTV see the tenants have been away for 24 hours, instead of putting it offline, they could just write this very generic label, “Away for a while”, or something similar. Then, after the tenants have returned, it can be removed.

Come on guys this is totally off topic. Sorry
I totally agree with yoou but come on.

I know. I already asked @jabbath1987 to move it.

I agree with you. I’ve never understood why an apartment needs to be offline, simply because the tenant is gone for a day or two, or even longer. It just makes no reasonable sense to me.

I also believe, wholeheartedly, that it is completely counterproductive to the business. I mean, when you think about it, when the apartment is online, viewers can come and look around for the tenants, or wait to see if they’re coming back, or whatever. Maybe they think they’re just out grocery shopping, or something of that nature. And when they look through a paid cam, that’s more views for the apartment, which translates to more money in everyone’s pockets.

I just think it’s completely unnecessary.

I don’t, however, agree that this conversation is off-topic. We are, after all, talking about the tenant and the apt, so I don’t think that would be off-topic.

Well the reasons for that is very simple: Participants should not earn money with an empty place. People will click on it checking if anybody is there and they will earn money. That is why place is put offline.

Did you make up that rule? That sounds like you. It’s money out of VHTV’s pocket.
