Oscar as naked chef, well that made a nice change I must say. 
As for him breaking the spaghetti, that’s exactly what I would do too, if I wanted to fit it in the saucepan properly.
I wonder if he knows the old trick of throwing a bit of cooked pasta against the kitchen wall. If it is cooked, it will stay on the wall without falling off but if it falls, it’ll need a little bit longer cooking time.

Omg, my Italian captain teach me this trick…lol…hes saying me when you see the Italian home kitchen you will see bits of pasta stick on the wall of kitchen..lol

A friend of mine (she was English but a very good cook) showed me that technique and the thing is, it really DOES work!
