It just seemed a bit much. I hate that gifs come out so big. there should be a way to reduce the scale like you can with pictures. glad you saw the funny side anyway. 
Try the tool “ScreenToGif” It is free and you can reduce size with it…
Useful tool, thank you. Though if the forum is pulling gifs from an external source, such as GIPHY, it should permit rescaling as it does with still images. It seems silly not to permit gif rescaling on the fly. Because sometimes you want to respond quickly rather than save the gif, rescale it elsewhere and then upload the rescaled version long after the moment was relevant. sometimes you need to get in there fast.
There is - every GIF here has resolution (I guess that’s the word).
If you put: “, 50%” behind it, the GIF will be 50% smaller.

There is a clickable blue link for resizing the gif, isn’t there? Quite a useful feature for some of the gifs.
I can’t see anything when i post a gif. I’m on a PC though, maybe it’s different on mobile devices?
You can always (I think) resize images to 100/75/50%.
Not sure about GIF. If so it’s only occasional. At least for me.
