Alright. Sorry in advance, this is going to be a long post.
I haven’t really updated you much lately.
To quote one of my favorite memes ever:
“Seat your belt, motherfucker, and welcome to my extravaganza.”
Because… yeah. This has been a really, really weird period.
But I’m pretty sure what I’m about to tell you — for me and for Marla — will make you happy.
You’ve seen us working like crazy this year.
And having way less sex than usual — even during summer.
(Yes, it hurts me too that I couldn’t fully enjoy Marla sunbathing as much as I would’ve liked.)
There were many reasons for that.
As you know, last April we restarted our game project with a new producer, after my former partner almost destroyed everything and nearly made the whole thing collapse.
Well… there was a problem.
A big one.
At the end of that collaboration, that producer tried everything to steal our IP.
They saw the potential of the project and even tried to force us to publicly say it was THEIR product, not ours.
We immediately cut ties as hard and as fast as possible.
We’re currently in a legal battle over it, and yes — we’re fighting back.
But that situation led to everything you’ve seen happening since then.
We didn’t want to end like that.
We didn’t want to quit making games either.
So now, your Hector and Marla are co-founders of a real, legal, registered studio (no details, rules are rules) that produces tabletop RPGs.
You’ve seen us work so much because in these months we have:

Rebuilt the game from scratch, better and more beautiful, even visually.

Opened a company.
-
Built the legal and financial structure.
-
And many other interconnected things.
Honestly?
A bit powered by anger and determination, I won’t lie.
After five years in this industry, we used every contact, every skill, every card we had.
And now we control the entire production pipeline ourselves.
Indie studio, yes — but with nothing to envy to big publishers.
A few minutes before writing this post, I officially launched our national sales campaign.
And next year, if everything goes well, we’ll also move to the English market — as some of you asked.
I know things haven’t been as “active” here as usual.
Even Averadiel had similar problems in another field — but he’s fine, for those wondering.
And yes, I missed Marla’s moans probably even more than you did.
But I really wanted to celebrate this first with you.
Here. In this little closed world that is ours.
Because… we made it.
We now hold the keys of our work.
No one can take this from us anymore.
No one can make Marla cry like that former publisher did.
From ISBN to delivery to the customer’s door — everything is under our control now.
Our name and reputation are safe.
From now until April, things will slowly go back to normal.
(Thank God. I was starting to suffer from the drought too.)
And then you’ll see how happy we are, after surviving all this.
This summer will be amazing.

it was brutal, btw, er ended up the CON with flying colors, we was cheering, i goes to cheer with some friend, Xhav also do the same, when we came back the producer was souting we was asshole bouse WE SAY WE DID OUR GAME. after 3 days of demonstrarion, marla broke uo, and in NEARLY end with a VERY big brawl. but some friends have the timing and the brain to pull me out forcibly.
