Although I didn’t want to, I contacted support and got immediate help.
Apparently it was really quite simple for me because of the cookies and the cashes. After deleting everything, VHTV is now running as it should again.
They could also help me with updating the room list. For me, it was because I had installed an external translation add-on in Firefox, which showed me everything in my native language, German. Also the room list. After I deactivated this add-on on the advice of the support, the rooms are now displayed in English, but they are always displayed correctly when changing realms.
I just hope now that everything stays the same and doesn’t get worse again in a few minutes, hours or days.
I can’t imagine that it’s just the cashes and cookies, because the problems weren’t there a few weeks ago. And I’ve never deleted my temp files. Somehow the error is definitely with VHTV, but maybe the support will take a closer look at the system and find the error somewhere.
What can I say?
Everything back to old. The realms are again displayed as a black image with a waiting circle and only open after several seconds. I can’t even get into some realms. Only after the page has been refreshed does it go a little further. Just for fun, I deleted the cookies from VHTV again. After that it got a little better, but after a few minutes the problem reappeared.
Honestly, I’m starting to lose the fun of it. And I can no longer believe that as a user I can actually change something about the problem.
As I said before, my subscription is still valid for 72 days. If VHTV hasn’t gotten this under control by then, I’ll probably only write or read in the forum, because then I won’t spend any more money on this faulty page.
But as for the problems here, they’ve only been going on for a few weeks and are getting worse.
But since I haven’t changed anything on my computer and I haven’t had any problems anywhere else on the internet, I can’t believe it’s my fault either. In particular, because there are numerous other users with the same problem.
It is strange. I was on vacation the last two weeks and had really bad internet. But VHTV still worked pretty decent for me. So I am really interested in what is causing your problem… Can you try a VPN to rule out O2 as provider?
I’m really curious as to why now some have issues and others don’t. Has something changed recently in VHTV that started all this. Perhaps some have different settings on their internet modem or router that could be behind this. At the moment i haven’t had the issues.
Sorry, but I don’t have a VPN installed and don’t want to have one. So far it has worked without it and if it shouldn’t work without it anymore, I’d rather do without VHTV…
Its not happening all the time. In the morning when probably there are not many users online its working fine, but from the evening onwards it is terrible here for me. i need to refresh almost every time i want to change cam or realm, and still takes lots to load. I don`t know what to do anymore
I have some lags occassionally. Yes. But never so bad how some here describe. It is okay for me. Of course the smoothness is never 100% There is still a lot of room for improvements.
But i have to say I was quite impressed how well it worked with really slow internet.
