Ideas for consequences and measures to be taken after tragic happenings in realm53

Here we can discuss about what should happen now further. Please keep it civil. Rants and silly jokes are not appropriate here.

Let me summarize some ideas here for @VHTV_James

  • Panic button for each place to alert support faster and on higher level than a support ticket does.
  • Direct communication from support to participants without managers. (Emergency phone in each place reachable 24/7 for support on duty)
  • Tickets about d__g a___e or other mental or physical problems should be take more serious
  • Better monitoring of things (Visible signs of d__g a___e should be taken more serious not only taking d__gs on cams also the effects)
  • Being aware of “toxic realms” and relationships. Offering help from psychologists to participants.
  • Random d__g tests
  • Mandatory CPR and first aid training for all participants and long term guests
  • Mandatory placement of first aid kit in each realm
  • Having some substance against d__g overdose ready in each realm (for example Narcan)
  • Each place should have smoke detectors and a fire extinguisher.

What happened in realm 53?

I suggest an alarm button for each place viewers can press. Will be faster than doing tickets and support will get alerted faster.
However there must be a way to prevent abusive use of that button…

Sergio passed away this morning

Do @VHTV_James need to do a better job of monitoring Participants because i will admit after been a watcher of VHTV for over 3 years i have seen alot of dodgy behavior with Participants clearly upto no good mainly in bathroom or deliberately trying to hide out of site of cam’s @robwin made a good point do we need cam’s in the bathroom to stop that type of behaviour

Yes like a panic button

Yes that was my idea.

Very good suggestion

Very good.

So we all are here to see real people, real life. In real life, bad things happen.

When you are out in the weekend, and you see random people doing things that are not wise, what do you do? I bet: nothing. Because you don’t care, you think wtf, and you move on with your own life.

But now a participant. As it seems he was doing things that are not wise. (let’s face it: we all are watching participants lying in bed all day, eating crap and not moving at all) What should we have done? What should VHTV management have done? Telling them to change their lives? Nha.

I do not think monitoring of private spaces (the toilets) is needed. However when there are visible evidence in behavior of people pointing to d__g a___e this should be taken more serious. Also people being not happy for a long time and visibly living in a toxic relationship should be monitored more closely and offered help by VHTV.

We are talking about extreme cases here. It was very obvious all the time there are serious problems in that place. Offline times, violence, massive a_____l and d__g a___e on daily basis…
I am not talking about when somebody _____s too much during parties or smokes pot to get high…

I know the realm now but I must admit it wasn’t a realm I looked in on much. Nevertheless that is tragic and so sad. I think Stinky made a good point in saying there is always a chance of something like this happening because this is real life. Regardless of whatever caused his death, my condolences to his family and friends at this time.

Unfortunately this is the second medical emergency in the past few months to have been while the realm was broadcasting. With the variety of cams being broadcast it will be difficult to monitor every cam while broadcasting. A panic button is a good idea

Plus it should be mandatory at least for participants to do some training in first aid and CPR…

Yes i agree with both your suggestions panic button and mandatory cpr training

I am still thinking about a way to prevent some funny idiot using that button. Maybe there should be consequences for abusive use?

I disagree profoundly. If you did read what i said my proposal was for @VHTV_James ONLY not for members.
This practice has been going on for a long time now and i think it has been lucky nothing this bad has happened before.
Not sure about a panic button as knowing what people are like could cause absolute havoc as it would be pressed for the slight misdemeanor even arguments. JMO.

If someone wants to take d__gs, they will do it no matter how many cameras are in place. They will go outside the apartment and do what they want to do.

Oh so in your opinion then is to just ignore it on VHTV eh, WOW.
With all respect that is a very irresponsible view as has been proved now.
Ignoring it won’t make it go away.

What you want to say is that it does not stop them taking them even when every angle of the place is monitored.
That is why I suggested to monitor visibly d__gged behavior of participants… Like for example Finn last night showed.
