I would suggest VHTV should maybe look at tightening its vetting of potential future participants. But even then there is only so much you can do. It’s like guns in America… put into the wrong hands bad things will happen like in New York yesterday.

I don’t know. I am very sad about this. But I don’t know if there was anything we or VHTV could do to prevent it. lets not forget that we don’t know the cause of death, it could have been a stroke or heart attack amongst other things. He was holding his head before going to s___p. 
I am still thinking about that panic button. Maybe we should limit its use to Operators (Who monitor the happenings quite closely) and TL4 members? The possibility that none of them is online is quite low…

A panic button in theory is good idea (and i suggested that years ago because violence in one apartment) but how could VH prevent to be used only in a good way?
About extra cams visible only to VH, it’s will only be useful if in fact someone will be checking that cams regularly. The site have probably around 500 online cams it may be kind of complicated adding more, and totally agree with who said that if they want they will do it outside and then come back (like happens in many realms on current times).
But finally it seems that (unfortunately only after this episode) the d__gs things may be start to be taken serious

This is an admirable topic after the tragic incident in realm 53, but isn’t it a case of locking the stable door, had this type of topic been raised, after the serious medical incident in realm 31(Kazantip house), maybe this latest tragic incident could have been prevented, but as is usual, it takes a death for people to raise concerns. I think that @robwin suggestion of VHTV only monitored cameras, is not such a bad idea, and maybe not only in toilets but any areas not covered by viewer cams.

That is why my suggestion was to limit use to Operator and TL4 members… Usually one of them is always online.
Maybe CPR training would not have helped in that case but it is never wrong to know how to do it.
I have always recommended these places for managers and tenants be d__g tested!

Well you could be something that you think it is something and in the end was nothing. Banning will only make people don’t risk to use it
Very true. In that case we can only hope for people not abusing it…
I take your point about the volume of cams to be monitored but being realistic not all apartments would need to be regulary checked up on. Most apartments are well behaved i think it’s just the handful of suspect ones we have had that would need watching more closely and most of us know who they would be or have been in the past.
I appreciate it is a very difficult problem but sticking ones head in the sand won’t solve it i’m afraid. Not suggesting you were by the way
