I sure do hope so, he was very fast today, but did not do an fast lap due to problems with his engine, so the backed off to make sure he can do Qualy in a few minutes.
He was way faster than Russel who complained about everything, but mainly his turbo, there were more Mercedes engine powered car(drivers) who complained about the engine/turbo making weird sounds

He exceeded track limits in his fastest lap in Q1
Therefore, Lawson was not allowed to participate in Q2.
The error was presented to the stewards during Q2, who decided that his lap and subsequent times are invalid.
