Exactly, but I suppose it’s better to have a contingency plan, just in case. Because I’m not 100% the mess in the Middle East will have ended, and also be safe enough for the F1 parade to turn up let alone race.
in maximum 11 days we will know!
If you’re familiar with F1 logistics, you know they have multiple sets of the same car, which they bring to different races.
The set used in Australia will go to Japan, while the other set is already on its way to China. That set will also be used in Race 4, so we should know where it’s going after the Chinese GP.
Potentially each team has access to around maximum 12 prototype cars in the same calendar year. So I am familiar in some way. ![]()
I think Saturday, will be very interesting where qualifying is concerned. Because with Aston Martin having their engine problems, they could break the 107% rule.
And I’m also beginning to wonder who else will break that rule, and like Aston Martin. Go to the Stewards and lay the case for starting the race on Sunday..
Alonso is the one that has raised his voice high when it comes to the basic understanding of the rules. Even our head kitchen chef can drive these cars properly. He has said. ![]()
Bad news from Aston Martin
Valtteri sees more than we do ![]()
Just read, that the Honda engine, vibrates so much that it could injury the drivers back.
So I think they may miss the 1st two races, on safety grounds.
And probably permanent nerve damage in the fingers. If they do not deal with the situation. According to both Alonso and daddys golden boy. Lance Stroll. ![]()
Looks like Bottas, won’t have to serve his grid penalty after all. During his year off track, they changed the rules over grid penalties. They will be removed after 12 months, whether they’ve been served or not.
FP1
Ferrari and RedBull fastest
Linblad very good, Audi positive start
problems for McLaren and Aston Martin
Looks like Ferrari & Red Bull have set the pace, I know it’s only FP1.
Interesting to see what happens in FP2. Will the favourites to take the title this year which is Mercedes make inroads to catch Ferrari.
It’s going to be interesting to see why Perez’s Cadillac failed after 1.5 laps.
Fernando Alonso “disappointed” with lack of Honda spares as Aston Martin’s F1 Australian GP in doubt
Alonso also bought that up during testing in Bahrain, where Honda hadn’t bought are replacement parts for the engine.
So no change on that front.
Just hope they can sort that vibration out, by qualifying time tomorrow.
Or it’ll be a very short race for both Aston Martins.
Pia and Nor in sixth and seventh. Something tells me they will not be there by the time of qualifying. ![]()
Ver and Nor that was. Sorry. ![]()
