Interesting start to this race, at the beginning

Is Verstappen allowed to win the race without a penalty?
Because he cut the corner at the start.
I didn’t notice it.

yes, he gave the position back to Norris, alltough i doubt that it would have been a penalty

He gave back the position. So no penalty.

Let’s hope Max breaks with tradition, because as they were saying yesterday. No one from pole has won the Italian GP. The highest position was 4th and that was Charles last year.

teamorders from McLaren..

They really want Lando to win the championship

the other way around they don’t

lot of booing for Lando his P2..
don’t think that QuickLaren did that right to give him P2

At the moment, there’s more support for Max & Oscar. And the fact that Oscar gave Lando the pleasure of having 2nd place, due to team orders, obviously pisses the fans off.

Because over 10 years ago, the same thing happened to Schumacher, he was running 2nd, and Eddie Irvine (I think that’s his team mate as was), had to let Schumacher pass to give him the win.

And when he went to the podium, they booed him, and with that team orders were banned, or at least I thought they were, but today proves they haven’t.

team orders are always there
not possible to ban them

and that was for the championship, this swap is against it

It seems McLaren did still not learn that if you have the chance to take the maximum points in drivers championship you take that chance. Would be hilarious if at the end of season these points will be missing for Oscar to win the championship :joy::joy:

First of all, congratulations to Max. He’s back on form and back in the running for the World Championship. Let’s see what the next races bring.
But also “attention” to McLaren.
Because I didn’t understand this move after Norris’ botched pit stop. Of course, you want to see both young drivers at the top of the World Championship standings. But Oscar couldn’t help giving up his position.
I’m just saying that it wouldn’t have been so easy with Alonso, Schumacher, and co.
And if Max is back on track, McLaren should refine their points strategy so that they don’t end up smiling in second or third place.

Max, Fernando or Michael would not have giving that position up in this point of the championship

The two young lads have to learn that in the end, only one of them will become world champion.
To do that, you need to be very, very aggressive.
Otherwise, the third driver will be the one celebrating at the end. And he doesn’t drive for McLaren.

As I’ve said before, those two could turn into Prost & Senna (part 2), I’m hoping it doesn’t, but we don’t know what’ll happen, if either of them start sliding back in favour of the other one.

And that is a possibility as we start to run out of races.

Because Max won’t win, he’s now on damage limitation just to keep the chase on with Ferrari.

There is a good chance for PIA to win, and a fairly good chance that VER will end up in third in the drivers standings.

It’s not over yet!
There are still plenty of points up for grabs. Even for Max!
Although it looks like McLaren will come out on top in the end. With whichever driver. But they shouldn’t give away any points.
Max isn’t asking, “Can I have the points?” He’ll take them without being asked.
