McLaren did it again
And Ferrari fucked it up once again

Impressive drive from Lando, Charles fed up with Ferrari being Ferrari again

4 consecutive 1-2 finishes for McLaren for the first time since Prost/Senna in 1988

I thought Max, might’ve done better, as he got upto 5th a one point, and slid back to below where he started. I’ll have a better idea later when I watch the highlights.

no chance for Max, his hard tires were gone and after he pitted the last time he had not one real chance to overtake Lawson

and he is still under investigation because of the overtake on Hamilton, alltough i don’t think that was wrong

There is nothing new in the aspect of the Prancing Horse screwing it up.

Lewis did not even show up at the stewards

“I don’t have anything to say about that” is what he told the reporters in the pen

Probably a pretty smart thing to state he had nothing to say about it. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

He’s still holding a grudge from when Max got his 1st world Championship after that chaos with the safety car, back in 2021.

He says he’s got over it, but as you saw, he didn’t even turn up at the investigation over today’s incident between them two.

Still holding wounded feelings. :fire:

Why should Lewis hold a grudge against Max? It wasn’t his fault. Max’s team was just clever and brought Max back into the pits to get fresh tires. Lewis could have done that, too. But they assumed the race would finish behind the safety car. Max accepted the gift. But Lewis would have done exactly the same. Masi just didn’t want it that way. And after the race, Lewis showed greatness and was one of the first to congratulate Max on his title.

My opinion is that even if the drivers can be socalled bitter rivals, they never hold a socalled wound for more than probably 15 seconds each time something unfortunate happens. An instant thing there and then. Then they move on and get on with it. :slightly_smiling_face:

An exception from this rule is probably our very dear Toto Wolff. He can probably hold onto a grudge for four years. :slightly_smiling_face:

We know Toto is a poor loser, because I was watching the highlights of qualifying yesterday, and he seemed pleased that Christian Horner had got the sack from RB

Just finished watching the highlights, that incident between Max & Lewis, it’s hard to tell. Did Lewis run wide after the chicane, or did Max force him wide, and leave the track.

But as the photo of the report from the stewards showed, no action will be taken, so just a racing incident.

In my opinion, Leclerc’s first pit stop came far too early compared to Piastri.
After that, the McLaren drivers were able to adapt their strategy. And when the two strongest cars are driving two different strategies. (1 stop - 2 stops) Leclerc, with his Ferrari, no longer had a chance against the McLaren.
The only thing I find sad is that the Ferrari doesn’t even make it onto the podium.

Sadly not the first time Ferrari fails to make it onto the podium because of strategical vacancy. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

But this time, something broke on the car itself, which as Charles said, hampered in staying with the McLarens and keeping 3rd place, and the same with Max, they screwed his strategy up, meaning he could’ve stayed 5th.

Officially Ferrari have said they had a chassis issue and they won’t say anymore then that

George and Mercedes have a theory about why Ferrari was slow towards the end of the race and that in a effort to make their car quicker Ferrari was running their car very low to the ground, on the final pit stop they increased the tyre pressure to raise the car so that they wouldn’t get a DQ for excessive Plank wear but it made the car a lot slower

So RB screwed up the strategy? Misunderstand me correctly, but that was good to hear. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
