RB must have become somewhat down sized when it comes to keeping it up on the updates. Since they are on the back foot per now. I suppose that is the case.

in 2021 they had flexible wings on their cars, but they were banned

Now it’s suddenly allowed, so I think RB will move in that direction again in the foreseeable future, as will Ferrari.
Mercedes already has the flexiwings

What a sound. Was probably slightly too light if it is to appear as realistic though. :hugs:

Interesting comments from Horner:

We traced the development history back and it turned out that the first mistake we made was with an underbody upgrade in 2023 in Barcelona,” Horner told Auto Motor und Sport.

“That was also the Grand Prix from which Checo started having problems with the car. We just didn’t take it so seriously because Max kept winning.”

Indeed, Verstappen won 10 races on the bounce from Miami through to Monza in 2023 with the Spanish GP the third victory on that impressive run.

Perez meanwhile, suffered a Q2 exit at Barcelona last year and could only muster a fourth-place finish.

The Mexican’s qualifying struggles persisted, limiting him to just five podium results in the ensuing 15 races.

Perez has endured similar struggles this term and hasn’t featured on the podium since round five in Shanghai China.

Now Verstappen has joined him in those struggles.

“Different driver styles can come to different conclusions,” Perez told F1. “The problem was… Well, not the problem – the good thing was that Max was less sensitive to it than I was.

“10, 12 races ago, I was complaining about these issues, but now they are so big that even Max is feeling them.”

Also another story on Red Bull:

Red Bull have cancelled plans to run a special livery on the RB20 in Singapore and Austin, citing concerns the added weight of the paint could compromise performance.

This may seem a little strange. But I am glad Verstappen is not going to win 19 races this year. Very good for the sport as a whole. :hugs:

So McLaren are not allowed to use the rear wing they have been using even though it passed all technical inspection, all weight tests and passed additional scrutinizing by the stewards at the last race that Oscar won because Red Bull don’t like it

Well, if it is any comfort - he is far from singular when it comes to swearing in a press conference. :hugs:

they themselves have offered in consultation with the FIA to adjust the rear wing so that the mini-DRS which is the ‘problem’ will no longer occur
