I believe that UEFA will stick with the boycott as Gianni Infantino has enraged the individual Football Associations of the major European Countries. Concacaf have now stated that they will boycott the World Cup if the plans go ahead.

FIFA has always been a strange entity. Because no one really knows what goes on behind the scenes there. Or how and where the money flows. But now they’re going after the sport itself, squeezing out every last bit that’s left.

It’s nice that everyone’s on the same page right now.
But still, I don’t trust this peace. Let’s let some time pass before we act on these proposals. And once Infantiono has finished spouting his empty promises—and God knows what he’ll promise those small associations—like, for example, letting them host a tournament in 2075. I’m curious to see what will be left of the alliance by then.
Infantino won’t stand a chance against the large, financially powerful federations from Europe. But he will rally the smaller federations.
He also has strong support from the smaller federations outside of Europe.
Well now with the North Americans and Asians also against that the plan is failed…

I was certainly surprised by how quickly UEFA reacted and published its statement on its website. That’s really impressive and honestly makes me a little proud to be European.
