I’ve been seeing on line where some social media sites are editing out the 
when he photo bombed the Spanish team. Just as he did with Chelsea last year. He’s an absolute embarrassment to the USA!

For me, Argentina’s style of play was too aggressive – both in the final and already in the match against England. I consider it unsporting when a team plays with such physical intensity that it effectively puts the health of the opposing players at risk. However, the referees also share some responsibility if they fail to stop such situations early on and thereby allow a more aggressive approach to develop. The second red card for Paredes for his act of aggression in the ensuing confrontation after the final whistle does not exactly increase my sympathy for this team either. But that is now behind us, and I am curious to see whether the Argentine team will take any lessons from this tournament and develop their style of play, or whether they will continue with their uncompromising approach.

Some serious sanctions/fines definitely need to be handed out beyond a red card…this isn’t the MMA! Not only that but Referees have to be held accountable for their actions or should I say lack of.

FIFA has ranked the teams in this World Cup. Spain, Argentina, England and France are obviously number 1,2 3 and 4. But then at number 5 - Norway!

Well put! I can admire the good football of any rival of England even when we lose in a World Cup semi final - but not when they play bereft of any proper sportsmanship as Argentina did in the semis and final. Well done Spain who thoroughly deserved to be champions!
