I couldn’t watch the match because I’m at the hospital with my 6-year-old son, but I saw the highlights on my phone and noticed that Argentina played a man down for the entire extra time period, only to concede a goal at the very end. From what I saw, the team was completely gassed. These guys went beyond human limits in this World Cup; they have my full admiration. As for Spain—congratulations; I never underestimated them. However, if this match were replayed ten times, I’d root for Argentina ten times out of ten, because I always support the team that shows the most grit and commitment on the pitch. Regarding my bet: I’m going to honor it and subscribe to VHTV for 30 days, but I’m going to wait until something even remotely interesting is happening before I do so—sometime between now and Friday. If nothing interesting comes up by Friday, I’ll subscribe then without fail and come back here to confirm it. It’s not about the cost; I know that for many people in Brazil—myself included—the price charged by VHTV effectively has to be multiplied by five due to the currency exchange rate. That’s unlike the folks over in Europe who just say it’s cheap without considering the situation in other countries. I have enough money to pay that subscription fee ten times over, but just because I can afford something doesn’t mean I will buy it; right now, it’s not worth the price. Paying that amount would be like throwing money away, and if I’m going to throw money away, I’d rather give it to the poor or to a charity.

Thanks, guys! I really appreciate the suggestion about the “extra days,” but Kaya knows the Realms stuff just isn’t really my thing at the moment, so I wouldn’t get much out of it. Knowing you guys appreciate this thread means a whole lot more than the extra days ever could.
