The first football game I watched was Swindon against Watford in March 1970. All we had of football in Norway on TV in the 1970’s in Norway was English football. Then I watched games with Arsenal, Manchester United, Leeds, Chelsea. Liverpool, Stoke and so on, all on a small black and white telly. My first favourites in football was George Best and Bobby Charlton.
To sum it up, English football is special for me. So hereby I officially declare my support to England for the rest of the World Cup, even though they had to work for it. And they will have to work more for it. Go England!

It was a very hard game in tough conditions. To echo the words of our manager - we are lucky to be through. It was not a great game by England and Norway probably had the better of the chances. Though delighted England are through, it is sad to see our Norwegian friends leave. Norway have certainly left their mark on the tournament and rather like the Vikings, I’m sure they will be back!

After 10 minutes Argentina woke up and pretty much first serious attack - first goal…

Well they made it quite far. So they can’t be that bad.
I do not think we will see many more goals. Argentina showed they are also good at controlling the game and saving their energy in the last games.

I assume you haven’t watched their game against Colombia. Total anti-football. I hate these kind of teams ( i.e Paraguay, Atletico Madrid, any of Murinho’s teams )
Luckily, with an early opener, they need to take some risks now, so i’m positive that will be a rape
