FIFA World Cup 2026 🇨🇦 🇲🇽 🇺🇸

Hey, you don’t need to apologize; I’m not angry with you at all. But you teased me, so you can’t get mad if I tease you back. I know full well how much you want England to win. I’ve said it a thousand times: you have a friend here, even when you think you don’t.

This kind of banter has been part of watching soccer ever since I started. So there’s no reason to take offense at anything.
At least, that’s how I see it.
And when my team is eliminated, it’s only natural that others will take pleasure in our misfortune.
I once watched Bayern play Ajax in a bar in Amsterdam, the Netherlands—a place where Ajax had won a long time ago.
I don’t think I need to tell you what we Germans had to put up with there.
Still, it was an exhilarating and boozy night of soccer…!

And there’s one more thing: if you were at the stadium in '66, you know the ball didn’t cross the line into the German goal. So, you saw England’s fourth official goal, but you didn’t see the third—because the third one never happened, given that the ball didn’t cross the German goal line. kkkkkkkk

That’s why the English even have a monument in their basement—where you can see the Swiss referee from back then, “Gottfried Dienst,” and, above all, the Soviet linesman, “Tofiq Bəhramov.”
It still amazes me to this day that they haven’t been knighted yet.

Nick Young Wtf GIF

If this match went to penalties, Morocco would have a very real chance of advancing. Bono has been the best goalkeeper of the World Cup so far, and leaving it to him to decide the outcome in a potential shootout would be a good scenario for Morocco.

Hola, hola, hola. Ejem, ejem.

It’s great to have you back.
I don’t think anyone here has ever doubted the strength of the Argentine team. It’s just friendly banter among soccer fans, where everyone thinks their own country is the best.
There’s no question in my mind that Messi is an extraordinary player. I think he’ll probably remain the world’s greatest player for a long time, if not forever.

Hey Amber, you’re a little late to the party, but the party’s definitely still going - and it’s a nice surprise to see you back on the forum. I remember you being active in the Ariela thread. Hopefully you’re not taking the teasing in this thread too seriously. It’s all just part of the fun, and honestly, sometimes it’s even fascinating to see the creativity people around the world bring to their jokes and memes - especially now that AI photos and videos have opened up a whole new world of possibilities. Without that, it just wouldn’t be half as entertaining

Doesn’t really matter who wins today. France is waiting in the semis to ruin their party anyway. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
