after hearing infantinos response to this injustice , i think we can conclude that any decision can be swept under the carpet and the ref and VAR are going to be to scared to call any decisions correct , so not looking good for a fair game ,

Unfortunately, youâre right. The incident surrounding Balogunâs red card is sadly not the only thing at this World Cup that has raised doubts about a fair competition. But maybe weâll get lucky and the USA vs. Belgium match will be decided purely by the performance of the teams on the pitch.
Iâve changed my vote in the poll anyway - hoping to send some positive vibes to the Seattle Stadium.

If there was one team that disappointed me during this World Cup, it was Portugal; they had a very strong squad on paper and had posted excellent results leading up to the tournament. The coach bears some of the blame, but the team itself showed apathy and a lack of creativity when it came time to play. Look, losing to Spain is no disgrace, but losing the way they didâwithout a single shot on goal until the 45th minute of the second halfâis shocking. Itâs even worse considering Spain didnât do anything special; they played a lackluster game, and if Portugal had simply done the bare minimum expected of them, they could have advanced today.

Det eneste positive med kampen var det ene mület til Spania. Det kom etter litt over 86 og et halvt minutt. Resten av bivünelsen var aldeles dørgende kjedelig. Jeg gir det Jon Blund karakter.

portugals achilles heel is CR7 , without him i feel players like fernades and felix would score more they for some reason idolise CR7 . hes no longer got 90 international mins in his game any more they should use him as a 2nd half talisman hes earned that much ,but a 90 min player hes not

Yesterday, I really wanted to watch the Mexico vs. England match to gauge who mightâor might notâbe able to beat Norway. My reasoning was that, up to that point, Mexico hadnât faced a major opponent; they had mostly been playing at home against mid-tier or smaller teams. And indeed, they were no match for England. Regarding England and Norway: well, I think Norwayâs goalkeeper is better. Pickford is shaky; he concedes goals on shots that top-tier keepers would save. However, both teams have poor defensesâprone to errors and risky play. Norwayâs weak point is the back line; the center-backs are big but lack agility and can be clumsy. A high-pressure pressâwhich Brazil failed to applyâcould easily break down Norwayâs defense. The problem is that Englandâs defense isnât good either; they are inattentive, mark poorly, and are slow. Both teams have good midfields, though I feel Englandâs has a bit more talent, and their attacks are evenly matched: both Haaland and Kane can decide a game in ten minutes, and both are in excellent form. So, for me, the victory will hinge on a specific factor: the psychological elementâspecifically, Englandâs drive. Norway has long shown itself to be a committed and dedicated team. England, on the other hand, often plays lackluster matches with massive defensive blunders, frequently leaving Kane to score just to bail the team out; they often play friendlies against weak opponents and scrape by with 1â0 wins. But yesterday, against Mexico, I saw something different. I saw a flicker of determination, of heightened focus and interest. If that continues, England will winâbut how can we be sure theyâll show the same level of determination, interest, and passionâor even moreâthan they did yesterday? We know what to expect from Norway, but what about England?
England has a pretty steady team. So because of that they will be tough to beat. But possible to beat them.

With all due respect, my friend, I expected a lot more from Portugal than from Germany. Germany was indeed a disappointment, but it was a somewhat expected oneâthey didnât even make it past the group stage in the last two World Cups. But Portugal⌠playing an entire second half against a lackluster Spain side without managing a single shot on goal? And thatâs not to mention the previous matches; if you look closely, they didnât even deserve to beat Croatia. Still, I respect your opinionâif you think Germany was a bigger disappointment than Portugal, thatâs your view, but I donât see it that way.

Iâm excited about Norway against England. Norwayâs won before, but this is a new match. Whether it will be Haaland or Kane whoâll turn the match in their respective contryâs favour remains to be seen. Or perhaps some other player, both teams got a few other more than decent players too.
Still Iâm worried about the Norwegian defense. The defense sometimes used to hold a high international level (Bratseth, Johnsen, Berg etc.), today it consits of good players, but perhaps lacking a little on this level.
