Mac does not record sound from video unless the external speaker is turned on, where it will take the sound from, it does not work like with the iPhone. That is, if you record video from a Mac computer, then the sound needs to come from its speakers, something like this

i do not know, what tools you use. your videos are still large. the stream delivers only (about) 2500 kb/s (average)
a few days before i have done a lot of tests with shotcut and did not get the quality that i wanted. but we found out.
