In some cultures, the advice isnāt to quit smoking and drin.king completely, but simply not to overdo itā¦ supposedly, abruptly ending such a vice would cause more harm than reducing the amountā¦
Which is right or wrongā¦ Iām not a doctor and I wouldnāt venture a guessā¦
Just because different recommendations apply āhereā now doesnāt mean you should forget that things werenāt any different here until some years ago.
And anyone can give the blanket recommendation āstop smokingāā¦ but someone whoās addicted often CANāT just quit from one day to the next.

Of course. And of course thereās a higher risk. But you also mustnāt forget that smoking has been almost āthe normā in our culture for a long time. And not every child of smokers is harmedā¦
ā¦just as not every child of non-smokers is healthyā¦
In the end, everyone has to decide for themselves. And the child has to live with what they inherit from their parents, one way or anotherā¦ some inherit an addiction, others an uncanny talentā¦
Thatās why I always prefer to pay attention to the/my choice of words. Appropriate criticism: OK. Condemnation without knowing all the facts: not OK.
Times have changed, and in some counties when it comes to smoking not to much. Iām of an older generation where most of us smoked tabaco here in Canada. The younger generations tend not to smoke here. Hell, I remember Doctors smoking in their clinics! I smoked for many years and havenāt for a good 40 years now. And one canāt just tell someone to STOP regardless of why, it simply doesnāt work that way as most of us know. Would we like to see Draca quit smoking? Absolutely, but, she is a grown woman, Iām sure she is well aware that smoking isnāt healthy and she doesnāt need us to keep reminding her. Iām also sure people she knows there and her Doctor have told her. I have told friendās they should quit, but, I donāt keep on them about it. And needless to say in my previous profession Iāve brought up the topic countless times.

She literally took selfies with a cigarette dangling from her lips. I canāt fault anyone who is uncomfortable witnessing a pregnant woman not just chainsmoke, but celebrate doing so. Common sense tells us the babyās health is of little concern to her based on that behavior

Now another member of the WKMB can swoop in and tell us not to watch if we donāt like it, that old recycled chestnut. Although Iād argue the choices she makes are at least a little bit the babyās business too, no? Iām sure the baby would prefer not to be born with acute asthma if he or she had a choice in the matterā¦
If what I wrote has already been shared by others, you have obviously read it several times, but you still donāt follow it.
And thatās why youāll keep being told this as long as you interfere in the private matters of the participants.
Itās not āprivateā when sheās hotboxing her tiny apartment whilst rubbing her baby bump in full view of cameras. Unlike you, empathetic people are going to judge pregnant women who make the choice to drink and chainsmoke because they see the health of another life being threatened. Itās fine that you donāt have those emotional capabilities, or you let your horniness override them, but itās entirely laughable that you think Iām ever going to follow what you or anyone in your sad little club tell me to do 
So what do you expect to achieve here? 
I see that every time someone is driving while someone else is trying to cross the streetā¦ but I still donāt attack anyone who does thatā¦

Thatās a fair question. I didnāt expect to go into such detail, but I suppose Iām trying to validate the feelings of others who are uncomfortable with a participant making problematic choices that likely damage the health of their unborn child. Whether or not we watch her realm, knowing itās happening is upsetting for those of us who donāt want children in utero to pay for the selfish choices of the mother. Ideally, Iād like to see VHTV put her on hiatus if she canāt refrain from chainsmoking while pregnant, but I realize that is wishful thinking and I assume there is no rule against it as it isnāt currently an illegal behavior. She follows the forum, and if we all had all encouraged her to not smoke inside and step outdoors if she really needed a smoke, that would have given her baby a better shot than it has now. That said, itās not too late. I donāt expect she can quit cold turkey, but if she cut back significantly that might make a difference.
