Some good news from yesterday:
Yesterday the German Parliament decided to change the constitution in a way that there will be no more limit to military spendings anymore. (Everything above 1% of GDP is no longer limited) This also includes the military help and also infrastructure support for Ukraine. They will give now 3 billion € and later another 8. And if needed there will be more because if needed, military spendings are no longer limited by any other laws now.
The German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, whom I consider to be one of the most competent politicians at this time, made the following statement today on the phone call between Trump and Putin:
“Putin is playing a game here”
A “zero number”: Defense Minister Pistorius has expressed his disappointment with the outcome of the talks between Trump and Putin on Ukraine. The Kremlin leader is playing a game to which the US president must respond.
A 30-day suspension of attacks on energy infrastructure: that is the result of yesterday’s telephone conversation between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Far too little, according to many observers. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius agrees. He clearly criticized the agreement:
“It’s actually nothing, because it pledges to attack less of the very infrastructure that is best protected in Ukraine. So it’s a zero number, if you would like to see it this way.”
He pointed out that the Russian attacks on civilian infrastructure had not abated in the night following the phone call. “So Putin is playing a game here.” He was certain that there would come a time when Trump would have to respond - “also in terms of the strength and reputation of the United States of America”.
According to Pistorius, the Russian conditions for a complete ceasefire - no arms deliveries and no intelligence information for Ukraine - show Putin’s approach. The Kremlin leader is focusing on weakening Ukraine while he can continue to arm himself. He wants to prevent Western states from supporting Ukraine so that it can no longer defend itself in the event of an attack during or after the ceasefire. “This is therefore very transparent,” said Pistorius. “This is unacceptable.” Both sides should be able to prepare for a breach of the ceasefire.
Yes absolutely. Great guy. Does not lie, says what has to be done and is quite sympatic as well.
So the children that were kidnapped by the russians will return?
What a difference an on-site visit makes: Trump’s spiritual advisor travels to Ukraine to get an idea of the consequences of the Russian attacks. In an interview, Mark Burns appears transformed. He now even wants to campaign for more support at the highest level.
US President Donald Trump’s “spiritual advisor” has fundamentally changed his opinion on the war in Ukraine following a visit there. When Trump suspended military aid to Ukraine last month, Burns still supported this decision - now he is calling for Kiev to be sent more tanks, fighter jets and air defense.
“I now believe that supporting Ukraine is America’s number one priority,” Pastor Mark Burns told the Kyiv Independent. In Ukraine, he visited the town of Krywyj Rih, among others, where 20 people were killed in a Russian attack. “The world must condemn this brutality and stand with Ukraine against this terror,” Burns wrote on X.
He explained his new view of the war as follows: “Of course, my opinion has changed considerably as a result of being on the ground in Ukraine.” Burns now called Russian President Vladimir Putin “pure evil”. The Ukrainians are people who are being “destroyed by the Russians”. And that is why he has now become a staunch advocate of supporting the country.
Burns wants to proclaim “message” in Washington
Burns has been closely aligned with Trump and his “Make America Great Again” movement for several years. The US President called him a “good man and hard worker” last year.
The “spiritual advisor” now apparently wants to share the experiences from his trip with Trump, who has not visited Ukraine since the start of the Russian war of aggression. In an interview with “Kyiv Independent”, Burns announced that he would spread the message of support at the highest level of government and around the world.
For Ukraine, it remains to be hoped that the pastor’s words will be heard in Washington. The military aid approved by the Biden administration will expire in a few months. Successor Trump has not yet announced any new weapons packages. This could put the Ukrainian armed forces in serious trouble in the future, as European allies are unlikely to be able to help with some weapons systems in equal measure.

One of thousands other proofs would be missile attack on city centre during Palm Sunday. What a religious country and its president who “prayed” for Trumps injury…
Putin is falsehood personified and, as burns has already said, “pure evil”. Therefore, a possible peace must be protected with maximum vigilance and all available means - by all those who can contribute.
Though all they say in this footage is quite obvious without translation, I wanted to add translation to a part about boy. He’s calling his dad to come, and rescuer says his mother is being taken care of. Boy says “please save her, please. Don’t worry about me, just save her”.
Trump and spiritual advisor??? Other than needing a front man to win over the Christian right during the election, how much of a role does religion play in Trump’s life and does anyone really think that Trump gives a rat’s ass about what this guy thinks?
Probably not. But this person may reach some of the people who voted for Trump. And that could play a role in the medium to long term. Besides, I am personally happy for every single person close to Trump who publicly stands up for the truth about the Ukraine war - regardless of their position. Every avalanche starts with a snowball and - hope dies last

It hurts to see that, I’ve seen the horrors of war, I have seen and treated the catastrophic injuries. Then there are the unseen injuries that many will suffer for the rest of their lives. I still have the nightmares many, many years later. My hart goes out to the people of Ukraine…
Tips from Syria for aid workers in Ukraine in times of “double tap” attacks
Rescue workers from Syria gave their Ukrainian colleagues practical tips on how to deal with the Russian air force. Their number one tip was not to underestimate the incredible inhumanity of Moscow. “The Ukrainians are facing the most cruel, unethical and criminal killing machine in the world today,” warned Raed al-Saleh, head of the Syrian aid organization White Helmets.
In detail, Syrian rescuers recommend the following approach to the Ukrainians:
-
Only set up small aid teams, geographically well distributed, with only four or five people each, who can quickly travel to the site of an airstrike: “Do not set up large headquarters for rescue teams, they would become the target of Russian bombs.”
-
Helpers should use simple walkie-talkies with a short range, not internet communication that can be tracked by the Russians.
-
Some team members should always observe the sky at close range themselves instead of relying solely on remote radar systems.
-
After an initial attack, first aid is really needed extremely quickly. “The first seven to nine minutes are important.”
-
Ukrainians should set up small medical outposts around their cities that can relieve the pressure on larger hospitals. “But keep these locations secret,” warns White Helmet boss Saleh. “Don’t pass on the GPS locations of medical facilities to the United Nations either.” Russia would obtain the data and attack the medical bases.
The Syrians know what they are talking about. The Russian air force and the Syrian air force it supports once also razed schools, clinics, supermarkets and bakeries to the ground. More than six million Syrians were left homeless as a result. One million fled to the EU.

Just ignore him. That would be the easiest.
Trump’s peace plan - a dictated peace in Russia’s favor
Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann is a German politician and the chair of the Committee on Security and Defense in the European Parliament. I’m not a supporter of her minority party (Free Democrats), but I still like her a lot because in my opinion she’s one of those politicians who sees things very clearly and speaks her mind - no matter how unpleasant the truth is. Since the start of Russia’s invasion, she has been a strong advocate for Ukraine.
Two days ago, she posted the following on X:
"What U.S. President Trump has presented as a peace plan is, in reality, a capitulation to the aggressor – a dictated peace in Russia’s favor. Anyone who denies Ukraine NATO membership, tolerates the illegal annexation of Crimea, and absurdly accuses Kyiv of unwillingness to peace is rewarding Putin’s war of aggression and violating international law. This is not peace – it’s surrender.
Those who want peace must rein in the aggressor, not disarm the victim. Europe must act united and determined – with strong economic, humanitarian, and military support. So far, the West has kept Ukraine afloat through hesitation, but hasn’t pulled it out of the water. The necessary support goes beyond that – it also includes supplying systems like the Taurus. Peace can only come from a position of strength. Putin proves every day, in brutal fashion, that he has no interest in negotiating."
