Discussion about Russian invasion of Ukraine

Nope, fighter jets have been sent here but Poland hasn’t sent them to Ukraine nor any other country…

I hope so, because if Russia wants, it will overrun Ukraine.

Only the foreign policy damage would be devastating.

That’s why I still hope that if not he himself, his oligarch friends, will stop him.

Which country should be between Poland and Ukraine? I don’t know of any … :joy:

I am sorry they are training in POLAND.
F-15Es from the 492nd Fighter Squadron at RAF Lakenheath, F-16s from the 480th Fighter Squadron at Spangdahlem, and C-130s from the 37th Airlift Squadron out of Ramstein Air Base, Germany, arrived Monday for the exercise, in which they will train alongside Polish air f___e squadrons, U.S. and Polish military officials said.

Poland has bad memories of Russia and finally of the USSR…

Too frigging right… I will not go into the atrocities that were imposed on the Polish people out of respect for any Russians here, but it was extensive and it was in the past and most Polish people want to forget about that part of their history.

That’s right, Poland is sometimes shifted to the “left”, which is why you can also use Polish in parts of Ukraine, among other places.

I think you are talking about the Yalta agreement.

if you want to go to the future, never forget the past. Sometimes it’s useful

No, the reason is also the threat to Russia by having another NATO country near their borders.
Remember when Russia signed the treaty of German unification, they have been assured that NATO would not expand east of Germany. Western countries didn’t keep their promise.

That is right. The 2+4 treaty was broken by NATO.

so this excuses the annexation of Crimea and interference in the Dombass?

That’s the near inscription on this mausoleum that contains the ashes of 78,000 victims of Majdanek concentration camp near Lublin, Poland.

Let our fate be a warning to your future.

Half of polish territory was stolen from Germany including former German cities such as Gdasnk ( Danzig), Poznan (Posen), wroclaw (Breslau) and Szczecin ( Stettin). The indigenous german population has been ethnicaly cleansed.

but they came back few years after and return where they came from in 45/46

We really don’t want to go into this do we?
Because historical Germany will lose this argument every single time…!!!

Look up your history on the ‘Recovered territories’ of Poland.

war is a matter for politicians, they said. We can see the result since the Treaty of Versailles. A mess everywhere

Germany has recognized the “Oder-Neisse” border!

Oder-Neiße-Linie – Wikipedia

Yes but many Germans have grand parents who lived in those areas and still feel a connection to their ancestral lands.Anyway Poland is part of EU now and german citizens have the right to return and settle in those areas if they want under EU freedom of movement.

So sad and cannot ever be forgot
