We are both in NATO only for balance of power and nothing more in military Greece and Turkey will never cooperate in any aspect. In greece there is a 9 month of national duty in army, for example i trained at a m48a5 tank as a gunner. The whole idea of greek military f___es is to defend against an invasion. Of course i dont speak for people Turks who live around Aegean sea and Medditeranean and Greeks are similar to many things.

The thing NATO has to understand is that Russia will never accept an Ukraine as part of NATO. I bet the USA also won’t accept Russian troups in Mexico…

And I think it is bad. NATO are making false hopes and expectations to Ukraine. The country gets squished politically between Russia and Nato. I would prefer to declare the Ukraine a neutral country just like Switzerland and they can develop without any threads or false expectations from any side. My idea for solving that conflict… :upside_down_face:

Both should be kick out of NATO

In the end both they will get something and the situation will end. I think the only one who will lose something is ukraine

Grounded for being naughty boys. They can come back when they are good boys again

Even when they lose something in the end. When they will gain long lasting security for it this will be a price I would pay.

This will never happen. A treaty or an agreement is real if you have the power to impose her. If Ukraine is weak Russia will always ring the bell when she want something more

I am not so sure about that. Ukraine does not have any oil or gas or other things. The most important thing the access to the Black Sea and therefore to the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic the Russians already have (Crimea)

If you want to put it badly, Ukraine has been tricked. NATO didn’t really want Ukraine as a member, so it took forever.

I think there will be a “dirty” trade. The “independent” territories will be “allowed” to join Russia.

The fear in Ukraine is great and unfortunately also partly the relationship between Ukrainians and Russians in Ukraine is disturbed.

I guess that is pretty much what will happen.

I hope that we will come to their senses on the Cyprus question and that BOTH countries will withdraw here and that Cyprus will perhaps be treated as an independent unit.

Not quite true. There are various natural resources in Ukraine. Among other things, also oil, gas, uranium. However, Russia has already cashed in on a large part of it by annexing Crimea.

The weapons are symbolic and will not make any difference whatsoever as guys from my brother’s regiment are out there training Ukrainian soldiers how to use them which is a farce as well because the weapons self-lock on the target tank, so it’s basically point and fire - not rocket science.

Donetsk was known for many things, see wiki

Donezk (wikipedia.org)

Let’s be honest, when it comes to this, it’s all symbolic…

I hope and pray you are right.
