I’m betting that Putin’s peace terms will be the same as those he set back in February-March should Zelensky enter into negotiations.

No way will Zelensky enter talks with Russia, Ukraine want back what was illegally taken from them.If Putin wants perpetual confrontation and be basically a Pariah nation because that’s Russians long term future as things stand then so be it.I honestly think he will be ousted simply because the Russian people will get pissed off with the current situation.He is in a no win situation which cannot be sustained.

The era of Western global dominance is over and the world is facing the most important decade since the end of World War II, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday at a meeting of the Valdai international discussion club.
In his speech, Putin emphasized that Russia is not opposed to Western elites and is not striving for hegemony in the new multipolar world. According to Putin, the West is “claiming all of humanity’s resources”. However, he is unable to rule humanity alone. However, the West is trying to do this and “most of the nations of the world no longer want to tolerate it,” the Kremlin chief claims.
The West must remember that “he who sows wind will reap whirlwind”. The West’s belief in “its infallibility” is dangerous. According to Putin, history will “put everything right” and wipe out those who considered themselves entitled “to determine the world order as they see fit,” the 70-year-old continued. According to Putin, Moscow would not try to impose its values on anyone. “Unlike the West, we’re not trying to invade someone else’s backyard,” the Kremlin chief said.
The world is standing on a historical threshold, facing “probably the most dangerous, unpredictable and at the same time most important decade since the end of the Second World War”.

If these are the conditions Russian soldiers are living under then I don’t expect them to cope with the bitter Ukrainian winter when it starts to really bite shortly. Jeez some of the Russian soldiers seen in this video are quite old. I wouldn’t have much hope for their fitness. These old guys could die of a heart attack before a bullet or shell. I don’t know what you guys have to say, I feel it is just crazy to be sending these Russian men into a war zone very ill - prepared with little or no training and men who simply don’t want to be there. This is clearly not a professional army and no doubt many of these people you see here will be dead soon leaving their families absolutely heartbroken… and for what?

Russia, including with the participation of Turkey, is ready to supply up to 500 thousand tons of grain to the poorest countries free of charge in the next four months. This was stated by Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev on the air of Russia-24 TV channel on Saturday.
“Given the fact that Russia has always been and remains a reliable partner, ready to provide the world with the necessary amount of food, our country is ready to supply up to 500 thousand tons of grain to the poorest countries free of charge from the next four months. Among other things, we will do this with the participation of our reliable partner - Turkey,” he said.
“If you look at the situation as a whole, then, taking into account this year’s harvest, the Russian Federation is fully ready to replace Ukrainian grain and deliver at affordable prices to all interested countries,” Patrushev stressed.
Earlier, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation reported that farmers had already collected 147.5 million tons of grain. According to the Ministry’s forecast, out of 150 million tons of grain, which are planned to be harvested by the end of 2022, 100 million tons will be spent on wheat.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation said that Russia suspends participation in the grain transaction after the terrorist attack in Sevastopol against ships of the Black Sea Fleet and civil ships involved in ensuring the safety of the grain corridor. Russia asked for a meeting of the UN Security Council for October 31 in connection with the attack on ships of the Black Sea Fleet.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the Kiev regime carried out a terrorist attack on ships of the Black Sea Fleet and civilian ships in Sevastopol, using nine drones and seven autonomous marine unmanned vehicles. All of them were destroyed.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation specified that Moscow suspends the implementation of the agreement from October 29 for an indefinite period. The Ministry noted that due to the actions of the Ukrainian armed f___es led by British specialists, the Russian side cannot guarantee the safety of civilian bulk carriers participating in the Black Sea Initiative.
@Shyguy This is more disgusting behaviour from Putin knowing full well how much harm this will cause to people and impoverished countries not even involved in his illegal war. This also shows Putin’s immaturity and depravity just because he can’t get his own way. All the hallmarks of an evil dictator who is grasping at straws now because NOTHING is going his way. How does he and his gangster cronies honestly think everything will change in his favour in the coming weeks or months?
This war has set its own course which Russian f___es will find extremely difficult if not impossible to change unless there is some kind of divine intervention and we all know that will never happen. It is crystal clear he was defeated right from day one! The decent thing would be to accept defeat, step down from power and face a war crimes tribunal for genocide along with the many crimes which pissed all over the Geneva convention.
Of course we won’t see that happen and more than likely (I have said many times before) change will have to come from within Russia when more Russians not only wake up but become seriously pissed off at their standard of living. They will say, STOP BLAMING YOUR GENERALS and the generals will start pointing their fingers at Putin. There are other ways he could go but I certainly believe this is actually a ticking time bomb for Russia.
When? Perhaps a few months or as much as a couple of years. When this eventually happens (the sooner the better) make no mistake all of us in Europe (at the very least) and possibly globally will feel the affects and especially if Nukes are used. I have always 100% doubted it but all this rhetoric is not slowing down but speeding up. This is total madness, I mean even using the word ‘Nuke’s’ because it is totally unnecessary… not for this surely?
Only a totally insane person would push the red button and even then you need other people with codes to be in agreement to release them. I would like to think even if Putin got past that final stage there would be at least one normal person near-by to put a bullet in his head. The human race does not need this kind of dangerous evil scum living on our planet jeopardising the lives of people living right now and those not even born yet.
Ever heard of “Death Hand”?
That is an urban myth never proven right or wrong. Most people are sure the USSR did not have the tech to do such a thing and even with todays tech this is a real challenge.
That’s true. Nevertheless, a few days ago I read a message on the Internet that Putin will use Death Hand if Russian territory (and he counts the 4 annexed Ukrainian regions) is attacked by NATO.
Death Hand is said to be able to launch 1,600 nuclear missiles simultaneously, aimed at NATO territory.
It would be nice if these were just this idiot’s crazy fantasies. but who knows that?
