Russia is blocking grain that would feed more than 7 million people on a “false pretext,” Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said.
“By suspending its participation in the grain deal on a false pretext of explosions 220 kilometers away from the grain corridor, Russia blocks 2 million tons of grain on 176 vessels already at sea — enough to feed over 7 million people,” Kuleba tweeted Sunday.
“Russia has planned this well in advance,” he said.
On Saturday, Russia announced it would suspend its participation in the United Nations-brokered grain export deal with Ukraine after drone attacks on the Crimean city of Sevastopol.
“The current queue with grain has accumulated in the Black Sea since September, when Russia started deliberately delaying the functioning of the corridor and seeking to undermine the deal. Russia took the decision to resume its hunger games long ago and now tries to justify it,” he said.

The Defense Ministry specified that the wreckage of marine unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which was used by the Kiev regime for a terrorist attack in Sevastopol under the leadership of British representatives, was found and raised to the surface, after which specialists of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation conducted an examination of navigation modules of Canadian production installed on them.
“According to the results of the restoration of information read from the memory of the navigation receiver, it was revealed that the launch of marine UAVs was carried out from the coast in the area of Odessa,” the department specified.
After the launch, marine UAVs moved along the safety zone of the grain corridor, after which they changed the route in the direction of the base of Russian ships in Sevastopol, the Ministry added.
They want the narrative to show that they aren’t the cause of the cessation of the grain shipments. I wonder what will happen on Monday at the UN.
