Discussion about Gender identity / PC culture / Discrimination against LGBTQ and etc

No, that isn’t what I said, at all. I was only referring to the plural forms of the words in question, not the singular forms. A gay man is a gay man. A black woman is a black woman, and so on and so on.

So what you’re saying is if I say Blacks, or Asians, or Muslims, or Whites, or French, or British, or Americans, or Africans, or Germans, or Russians, or Canadians, or Italians, or Irish, or Scots, or Brazilians (you get my point) I need to say Black people, or Asian people, or Muslim people , or White people, or French people, or British people, or American people, or African people, or German people, or Russian people, or Canadian people, or Italian people, or Irish people, or Scottish people, or Brazilian people. Like I said, being woke in our society is going too far to make sense. God help us! I’m sticking to gays, blacks etc. Call me prejudice, I don’t care! You’re being just as prejudice by saying I need to add people, person, man, women everytime I talk about a group of people? That’s Bulls__t. Answer me this - Aren’t “gays” a group of people? How is that being disrepectful? Again, I could go0 on but by now Tiimmy won’t get any s___p tonight.

And you’ve still never heard it because that isn’t what I said.

Sorry, but that’s what I thought you said.

If you still believe that, then I have a suggestion. And, I say this with absolutely no anger or malice against you. My suggestion would be to read a little more closely because you’ve already claimed I’ve said two things which I never actually said.

These are your words, “it seems similar to using the plural form of the N-word to refer to black people, or even just the word “blacks”.” Let’s see how I interpreted it by just changing a few of the words, “it seems similar to using the plural form of the gay word to refer to gay people, or even just the word “gays”. Can you see why I misunderstood you?

As I said before, being woke is defined as being aware of injustices toward minorities such as, gay men, people of color, the LGBTQ community, etc. It does not refer to a country’s entire population.

Some people, here, have said you’re prejudiced, and, based on some of the things you’ve said, I would agree. You may not mean it to come across like that (I’ll tentatively give you the benefit of the doubt), but some of what you say is prejudicial.

This gay argument is getting a bit silly now and boring.
Always some want to nit pick over nothing at all just to be awkward i reckon or is it just s__t stirring.
Some people just seem to want to go out of their way to be offended.

No, Lennie, I cannot. It was a simple statement. Other people understood it clearly. In fact, your version of my statement says exactly what I said, just using the word “gay”, instead of the “N-word”.

Please name something I said that is, in your opinion, is prejudice?!

What utter rubbish, how can describing someone as gay have a colour connotation for gods sake?.
No difference than saying a woman is a lesbian, there is no colour inference at all.

It’s all gone remarkably quiet all of a sudden

letsdothis is trying to find something I said that is prejudice. He won’t find anything - I don’t care how long it takes!

I did guess that some members were trying to make something out of nothing that existed in the first place.
This stupid woke culture seems to be infecting everyones brains these days and it ain’t good.

I am not going to comment anymore on this subject of discrimination, simply because it is not fair to @Kevin & @Karina as it is off topic.

I would never be as cocky as Lennie boy to say I am right, I will leave that for you all to decide.

Thanks.

Could always just leave it and get a life

Cmon. this has been going on forever! Let’s move on!

I triggered all of this with a simple comment and I honestly wish I hadn’t! I can only apologise.
